Fashion Show @ Del-care

Her school had organised a Fashion Show and encouraged we parents to dress our kids up as princess, prince, cartoon charaters.

As Giselle was still so young, there isn't any much choices for me to dress her up as. In the end, I just let her wear as per normal, trying to bring some nice clothes for her so that her teachers can help to dress her up as a pretty little girl.

The other kids in the school had dressed up as Spidermans (4 of them), superman, police, chef and many princesses. It was quite fun watching how the kids parade their costumes.

Then when come to Giselle turn to do the cat walk, she refused to do it, in the end, I have to walk the red carpet with her.

"Wash Hair".... Hahaha

I was cooking Giselle dinner today when I called for her to come. After a few calls with no response, I went to look for her but could not find her anywhere, I panicked. Adrian jumped out from the bed and finally found her in my masterbedroom toilet.

When I saw her, she was squatting down, with her hands full of her baby shampoo. She saw me and quickly put both her hands on her hair, telling me "wash hair". Then she began to rub the shampoo on her hair...I really dunno whether to laugh or get angry. OMG... I tried to use a wet handky to wash the shampoo off but it was just too thick. Hence, no choice, I had to pull her over and use the shower head to wash her shampoo away.

Happy Little Girl at Orchard!

We brought her out to Orchard this morning and she was like a happy little girl just came out to see the world. She loves running around in stores seeing thing and trying on things like caps, shoes. The salesgirls were all smiling and waving at her..

Adrian bought her a book on Nursry Rhymes, stories from Borders, hoping she can cultivate the habit of reading more books as she grows.

1 More Month to the BIG 2!!!!! :)

She has just turned 23months and we are counting down to her 2 years old birthday. During the last 1 month, she has improved tremendously in her speech. She can sing alittle of twinkle twinkle little star in Mandarin.

Ms Angela told me she can be quite naughty in school but she is a very smart child. She took her class out to the corridor for a short walk and Giselle was running happily all the way... Ms Angela caught her back and b4 she can warn her not to run, she said to Ms Angela : "No running"... hahaha

Her school has also started to bring them out in strollers to visit nearby shops at the Tanjong Pagar market. Giselle is the 1st one to wear her shoes when Ms Angela said it is time to go out for a walk. However, when she and her class were out, all of them were as quiet as mice.

Giselle can be really stubborn and refused to take out instructions. So Adrian and me has started the "Time Out" punishment. That is to make her stand at the corner and face the wall/door.

Wonderful Perth Trip 07

Perth Trip 26 May 07 to 2 Jun 07

We have set off to Changi Airport at about 7+am, flight was at 9.15am. Giselle was quite alrite in the flight and the air crew love her very much, giving her toys, drinks etc. She basically likes to jump, walk about around our seats.

On reaching Perth and our hotel at Duxton, she and Ethan were busy running about and catching each other at the lobby while checking was in process. When the door of our suite was opened, she was excitedly running about in from the hall to the room and to the bathroom where she spent most of the time playing the bath tub taps. I have a hard time asking her to go out of the bathroom. She has mild diahrrea on the 1st day but was soon recovered on the next day.

I myself was down with fever on the 2nd day of the trip, but was quite manageable after popping some fever tablets. But I felt whole body was very tired and no energy. But still I try my best to look good in order not affect everyone’s trip. Giselle was quite alright with food. Basically I was feed her some outside food as well as white porridge that I cooked in the thermal jar.

It wasn’t really easy to take care of her as some times I really cannot control her. Adrian did help but can see both of us can see she is quite a handful.

First few days we spent our days checking our Perth city, Swan River which is just gorgeous. The weather was cooling and cold when the wind blows.

On the 4th nite and next 2 nites, we checked into the RiverRetreat cottage at Swan Valley. It was really a fantastic, homely cottage where there’s a mini-farm very near to our garden. There are sheeps, goats, pig, rabbits, horse & chickens and Giselle simply loves that though she did not dare to go near them. Every morning she would wake up, jump out of bed, stand at the room window panel and point to the sheeps, saying “meh-meh”, chicken. Can see she really loves to see them. Early morning is when the sheeps went from their grass gazing and Giselle will wait patiently for them to come back.

Sometimes, Adrian will drive the car and bring us to Midland for shopping and makans. I bought a ball for her at Kmart.

During this trip when we can spend 24/7 of our time with Giselle, we realised that there’s a lot of things she know and she can actually sign and do the actions happily when in the car. Normally I will sing the “Mr Sun song” and Hi-5 song to her and she enjoyed them.

When Adrian has some nite driving to and fro our cottage, she would want to hold my hand for courage as the roads were dark. However, she loves to see the moon and stars along the way to the cottage.

I bet she can enjoy even better when she is older. Probably may bring her to Disneyland when she is about 3 to 4 years old.

Our Names and her Name ...22 months 4 days

Just 2 days ago, I began to teach her how to pronounce my name and her daddy's name. Initially when I asked her what's my name, she became a parrot and repeat '' what's my name''. Now she could say ''Mildred'' when I asked her.

She is really a fast learner, probably other kids also learn as fast as her. With 2.5 days, she could pronounce our names accurately. In addition, when I ask her what's her name, she will reply ''Siqi''. English name, she will say ''Gi-tiao koh''. hahaha...

Nowadays, she will also start to retaliate if she is being bullied. Today we met up with Ethan and family. Ethan tried to bully Giselle and she screamed. But she was also very naughty by throwing her shoe at Ethan...

Recently when I am holding her things like her bolster, she would also snatch it back from me and said ''MINE!!!''. So rude!

21 months 13 days

Giselle speech had improved alot over the past week! She could say things like ''Good morning ", "thank you, Mummy'', ''Mummy please'' easily.

She had a fall during her Gym class during school on 26 Apr and her teacher called me to inform me of this. I went over to pick her earlier that day after her nap time at 4pm. She was very surprised to see me, thinking whether she is in dreamland or not.

Noticed recently she is very sticky to me and Adrian again and always want to be carried. had also noticed that whenever she refused to do the things i told her, she would do it when i said I am very angry and will dislike her if she doesn't do it. Wang lao shi also notices this.

Her diahrrea had recover but don't why she is down with slight fever since this afternoon...

Refuse to Eat her Dinner in school

Wang lao shi toldme she refused to eat her dinner these few days. It is very difficult to feed her and she will take a long time like 30mins to finish her food.

Teacher also told me Giselle will close her eyes if she is being scolded in school, like wanting to shut from the world. Haiz... really don't know where she learnt all these...

Btw, her poo has improved slightly though it is still yellowish.

Fly, Help!!!!

Giselle started to have rashes on her stomach and tummy area. Brought her to see GP and was told it was heat rash.

She is now very scared of fly/insect (like me, haha). Tonight, she saw a fly flying in the hall as she came out of the kitchen. She was stunned when she saw the fly. She just stood there, both hands holding to the plate of biscuits. She looked at her biscuits, looked at me and looked at the fly again. I told her the fly is harmless. But 1 min later, she cried for help as she was very scared.

She had diahrrea over the weekend and I am very worried if she felt sick. Luckily she was quite alright. I still send her to school. These days, she no longercry when I say bye to her. Very cool indeed....

Naughty in School!!

Giselle doesn't cry in school nowadays as she has gotten used to her school enviroment. In fact, she has felt so at ease that she started to do naughty things like refusing to listen to teachers, want to do things her own way, bully her caregivers.

Everday when i picked her from school, her teacher will complain to me how naughty she was that day. She refused to open her mouth when other teachers feed her. She would only finish her meal if Wang lao shi feeds her.

As the books always said ''Terrible 2s, maybe she is undergoing this phase. Her mood was actually quite good during this week. She even did a Hi-5 with the Malay receptionist whom she dislike always... hahaha

21 months old today

Giselle is exactly 21 months old today and we brought her to Botanical Garden to meet up with Ethan and family. She had fun watching the swans and tortise. However, weather was quite hot.

She is getting very stubborn nowadays. Maybe today she had too much bread at the garden today and refuse to eat her favorite ABC pasta that I have cooked for her. She just chewed a few mouths and spit the food out each time I fed her.

She slept for 3 hours in the afternoon as I guessed she must be feeling very tired from morning activities.

She did take her porridge dinner and after that, we brought her to harbourfront for some shopping.

Sometimes I feel that she is just testing our patience. She was standing at a pillar today at the shopping centre and refused she come to me when I asked her to. She just walked a few steps and walked back to the pillar crying for me. Meaning, she wanted me to walk to her instead. Every passerby looked at this ''poor girl'' crying and looking everywhere for her mummy.

Kept Falling....

The last 5 days had been a busy and tiring week for me. I have been working full day this while week. But the good news is that Giselle has gotten used to the routine at Delcare and no longer cry during the day.

During the last 2 days, her teacher said that she was so at ease that she became naughty and started to take other children waterbottle to play with them. She didn't actually wanted to put it back even she got scolded by her teachers. Just today, I was told that she was punished by sitting on a chair at a corner. They called it ''thinking chair''. She cried and screamed and kicked when she was being forced to do so.

Giselle fell and hit her head at home during the last 2 days:

Wed incident - I was wiping her and after that I went to the window grille to hang the poo towel. SHe was lying on the sofa when i left her. The next thing I heard was that she fell on the floor with a loud bang. I think she must have flipped and fell like a baby.

Then came Thu, she was sititing at her blue ikea chair playing with the animal figurines on her table. Then I walked past her to talk to Adrian outside the study room. 2 min later, I heard a loud bang again and I quickly turned my head. Saw her lying down on the floor and the chair toppled over.

I think she must have stood up and fell backwards.

Today she came down with runny nose and I was busy wiping her mucus. I had already suspected that she may come down with runny nose as she was sneezing quite frequently these 2 days.

Being a Parrot

Giselle is very jealous whenever I carried other babies. Yesterday I brought her to attend my friends gathering at Teresa's Bayshore condo. She enjoyed it but at the same time jealous most of the time. She loves the playground, kept sliding down and climb up.

These 2 days, she surprised us by saying ''Reached home'' when her daddy's car reached our carpark downstair. She always followed /copied us when we said ''shiok'', ''Aiyo'', ''Haiz'' etc. Guess we have to be very careful with our words liao.

At times, Adrian will punish her by locking her up. I could sense that she felt very scared and she will scream, do something to express her fear and anger. I was very heartpain also.

Today she did something playful. Adrian and I were concentrating on watching DVD and she suddenly came over to disturb us by kissing her daddy face and kept calling him..

She ate quite a big bowl of her lunch and dinner that I have cooked for her. Nothing beats a kid to finish the food that mummy cook for her :)

She is very playful and fun to play with but can be very naughty at times also. However, when interacting with other babies and toddlers, she is just as timid as mouse. These few days, she will wake up around 9am and sleeps at about 10pm.

School Holiday

These 2 days are Delcare school holiday and I took leave to take care of Giselle. Had been worried about Giselle's frequent tantrums recently and did speak with her teachers. Whenever she feels insecure, she will scratch us.

Had realised that it is due to the change of routine that made her feel insecure as now I have to put her full day at Delcare. In addition, there are a few new classmates joining her from infant section. Will give her some time to settle down.

These 2 days has been quite enjoyable as I managed to cook more food for her like Green bean soup as snack. She could finish them all! :)

I noticed that when she had enough sleep, she will open her eyes with a big wide smile or laugh in the morning... really love to see such expressions from her.

20months 15 days

Today I need to work full day, so I put Giselle at Delcare for full day. Was quite worried about her so I wrote a full list of things for her teachers to watch out for.

She was fine in school today except she was very playful during dinner. The teacher had a hardtime feeding her today.

Don't know what happen to her today, she threw 3 very terrible tantrums after i picked her today. At funan shopping centre, funan carpark and our block downstairs.

Everybody at Funan was looking at us and her when she was crying and screaming away... I just do not know what she wanted. it took about a long 15 mins before you could quiet down at the foold court.

Then came the 2nd time at funan carpark when she want to play with staircase and we refused to let her play as it was time to go home. She screamed and cried in the car all the way home.

See Doctor - 20 months 14 days

Had brought her to see Dr Ngiam on 26 Mar 07 to make sure her cough is ok as she cough till she vomitted her food and milk on Sun and at school in Mon.

Dr Ngiam said she was down with mild bronchitis and the best treatment is to use nebulizer. But he and I were very sure Giselle will resist. So he suggested to do it the oral way. That is use antibiotics and cough mixture for her. He said it will take about 2 weeks to clear.

Giselle was terrifed as she stepped into the clinic. Dr Ngiam knew she was afraid. then over the whole of this week, i didn't work full day but just half day so that I could pick her up to rest at home.

Her teachers told me she kept looking at the door when it about time for me to come. Suppose to bring her back today in the afternoon. So I made her nap at Delcare while I accompany her in school

Thursday, March 22, 2007

20 months 7 days

We let her attend Delcare on Mon when I was down with runny nose. But I brought her straight to see Dr Ngiam after school to make sure she is ok to recover on her own as she was coughing quite badly with lots of phlegm.

he said I can let her recover on her own but he gave some cough mixture since she having difficulty due to the cough.

Her fever has been up and down for a few days and nose have been very runny like tap water. Her fever usually will go highest in the middle of the night like 39.2 degreeC. And I have to wait up to sponge every now and then even though I am sick..

I was officially down with flu on Mon, Tue with high fever and bad bodyache. It's s stressful period for everyone. Giselle didn't attend school on Mon and Tue.

On Wed, i had to ask Jaime to come over to take care of her in the morning while I go to work. Initially Giselle said she don't want Jaime to be around. But soon after, Giselle likes her so much that she dance and played together.

Giselle resumed school today. Teacher said she didn't really cry much but was very tired and slept during her nap.

Today I went EYS to buy Hou Ning Powder to reduce her phlegm and cough. For the past 2 days, she can cough until she vomit.

After giving her the powder, can she some improvement quite a bit as she didn't cough at all during her nap

Saturday, March 17, 2007

20 Months 2 days

She was down with flu again when I picked her yesterday. Slight fever and runny nose. But I didn't feed her any medication and wanted her to recover on her own. As she is still active, I only fed her with Sambucol.

She could speak alot of words today: "Daddy clothes'', "Daddy wocks (socks)", she could count 1-5 without difficulty.

Though she is sick, she is still very active and playful. Her eyes are quite runny and reddish today, mostly likely due to runny nose, so I let her rest as much as possible.

We went to Vivo city today and she saw someone giving out balloons. We got one for her but she refused to hold it until some time later. This morning we also brought her to downstairs to play ball with her. She was so happy running and chasing after her beach ball. Though she is sick, I managed to fed her dinner though she refused to take her lunch.

Thursday, March 15, 2007

Exactly 20 months

She is exactly 20months today! When she said ''Bye-bye'' to me at school in the morning, she did not cry at all. Teacher said she was quite good today in school. She finished all her meals, appetite quite good. Teacher said she could adapt to brown rice very fast and sometimes even want double servings. I am so happy to hear that :)

One things is she doesn't really like to take afternoon snacks. She did not cry when she see me coming to pick her today. Joshua is her good friend and she even gave him a kiss when it's time for her to go home.

On the way home, she was making lotsa of noise, screaming to get what she wanted. Really very naughty.

Ms Trixh last day... 19months 26 days

Giselle has been getting out of hand recently. She throws things around, scratches me, pull my hair when she is angry at me. i really had a hard time tidying up the house.
Today is also Ms Trixh last day at the school. She will be joining her hubby in Canada for 2 years. She said she will miss Giselle very much.

Giselle said bye to everyone in the class and the boys in the class gave Giselle a kiss each.... really very sweet of them.

Yesterday she saw a few boys playing soccer downstairs and she could tell me ''Play ball, kick! Kick!''.

Then today she surprised me by saying ''bye bye'' very accurately. Nowadays, she like to mimic the last sound we says. When we says ''Money'', she will say ''ney''

Bus Journey, 19 months 20days

Ms Priya was feeding Giselle with water when I went to pick her. Teacher said Giselle just bit the straw and refuse to suck water. So they have to open her bottle cover and ask her to drink directly.

Initially Giselle cried when she saw me but Ms Priya asked her to give me a happy face. We took a bus home after that and the bus driver seems to like Giselle very much as she waved and gave him a friend kiss to say goodbye.

Earthquake!!!

I was pleasantly surprised that Giselle was able to recite 1,2,3,4,5 though it wasn't very clear.

Teacher told me she is a fast learner, better than her classmates. But I must say she is also very naughty. When Mr Trixh was feeding her, she purposely put her leg on the chair.

This afternoon there's a earthquake in Indonesia and I can feel it at Shenton Way. Luckily nothing was felt in Delcare but the kids in Delcare wasn't given her bath just in case all the kids needs to be evacuated.

ANGRY!!! 19 months 16 days

I rushed home to take in the laundry when it was raining after Giselle bzbuddies class. Just at the same time, Giselle woke up crying and pestering me to carry her. But I just ignore her totally as I was very busying taking in the clothes.
Adrian then came home and carried her. Though she was very unhappy about me, she still lie on Adrian's shoulder and quieten down.

When I came into the room, I also didn't carry her as I want her to fall asleep on the bed. Then she began to throw her stuff toys and pillows. Then I also got angry and threw her stuff toys far away. She got angry and began to throw temper. Adrian then went out. Then I began to talk to her and hugged her. Finally she changed to happy mood and smiled.

Actually I didn't know she wanted my attention until Adrian told me so. I am really very surprised that at such young age, she can be so angry when I ignored her.

Punished.... 19 months 15 days

I brought Giselle to Delcare for the afternoon session. She cried when i told her that I needed to leave for work.

When i went to pick her after work, teacher told me she refused to take her afternoon nap and only slept from 3-4pm. As the afternoon snack weren't to her liking, she refused to eat them also.

When she threw tantrums, teacher would put her into the playpen and her temper actually became worse. She kicked and jumped in the playpen. Teacher told her that she could only come down if she stop all these actions.

Giselle also became jealous when Wang Lao Shi carried other kids in the music room.

Special Day... 19 months 13 days

Today is a really special day, started in the morning, Adrian and I was in the living hall when Giselle woke up, climbed down from our bed, ran to us and gave Adrian a big hug. It's amazing because she could finally wakes up without crying for attention...

Then came next at Delcare where she bid me farewell without crying. She went to hold Ms Trixh hand and just said ''ma-ma''. Then I overheard one of the teachers said last time everyday got to hear her ''ma-ma'' crying song. Hahaha.

We left her there full day as it was raining and I didn't want to risk her under the rain. Called up the school to give her dinner. When we went to pick her at 6.45pm, teacher said she was ok until she was asked to go to the TV room with other kids.

]Today teacher said she was naughty when she started to disturb others after she woke up from her nap.

19months 9 days

Giselle has a little runny nose since this morning and I quickly fed her with Sambucol. We followed Adrian to Toa Payoh central to meet his friend. Hence I brought Giselle to Macdonald to feed her macaroni lunch. Luckily she managed to finish most of it.

Brought her to Busybuddies class. Can see she enjoyed the class very much. However, she's afraid to take the swing this round. She kept cheering and clapping along with the songs.

After dinner tonight, we brought her to Tiong Bahru Market area for a walk and she was happily running around.

Nowadays, she started to call me ''Mummy'' instead of ''Har-me''....

Self feeding...19months 8 days

She didn't sleep the very 1st day that I let her take her afternoon nap at Delcare. But she slept on the 2nd day onward. Yesterday she slept for 1.5 hours and today for 1 hour. Adrian and I went to pick her at 4.0pm and she was happily eating her snack. She didn't cry a bit when she saw us.

I am very happy to see that she has really adapt to childcare and is very happy there. Her teacher told me Giselle self feeding skill is much better and accurate than her classmate, Amanda, who has been there longer than Giselle.

Hence I had let Giselle self feed again for dinner and I must say her skills has improve alot since the day I started her at Delcare. She has also learnt many songs like:

1) Twinkle Twinkle Little stars
2) I love you, you love me
3) 2 little dicky birds
4) I am a little teapot
5) Shimmering dinky do
6) Humpty Dumpty

Adrian and I had wanted tp bring her to Esplanade for a walk tonight but it was crowded and we thought of parking the car at Millenia walk. Giselle and us enjoyed this evening very much as she was running around happily... I just let to see her happy face :)

19 months 5 days - 3rd day of CNY

Giselle has been busy doing house visiting with us over the last 3 days... Her nap routine had all been messed up. She only nap about 45 min during the day and so I will try to make her sleep early at night to compensate back.

Her appetite has been quite good and she could finished her meals. I cooked her favourite macaroni today. Everytime when I sing twinkle twinkle little stars, she will sway from side to side. I had started to tie her hair to 2 pony tails and she looked really pretty and adorable.

Tomorrow she will be going to Delcare again and I am sure she will have ''blues'' after 4 days of break.

Chinese New Year - 19months 3 days

Today is the 1st day of Chinese New Year and we had brought Giselle to Suntec City before we went for house visiting.

When she reached Adrian's parents house, she was very afraid of the crowd and kept sticking to us. But later, she was fine and began to enjoy herself as well.

Overall, she only napped for 45 mins at Carrefour and couldn't sleep at Adrian's parents house. She immediately fell asleep at 6.30pm in Adrian's car on way back home. She must be really very tired.

KL Christmas Trip 06

Age: 17 Months 8 days
Trip: 23 - 26 Dec 06

I had managed to made her sleep at 6.30pm the nite before. Giselle had to wake up at 4am on the day of set off. And I had prepared her porridge overnite. She slept in the car for about 30mins when we reached the Tuas check point. She was basically fine throughout the journey but when she reached the KL exit tollway , she began to get very cranky till we reached Traders Hotel.

We had updgrade the room to a suite with executive club access. Giselle simply enjoyed this lounge with Ethan. Both of them like to take off their shoes and ran about, imitating one and another. I basically fed Giselle with porridge and bread, eggs and waffles in the morning. Lunch will be milk at times. Evening will be western food, snacks during the day.

She is bascially well-known in the lounge for spilling drinks on the table. Luckily the service staff were all very patient and understanding. She loves the playpool found at the park in front of our park. Weather was fine in KL and KLCC was just 10 min away from our hotel.

Trader Hotel overall was very nice. Our whole family enjoyed our stay there. On christmas eve, there was even christmas carole singing at the lounge and Giselle and I enjoyed it together. But she fell asleep 10mins after they started because she was really tired.

Basically she slept well over there but on the 2nd and 3rd nite, she did make a little noise. She loved the bathroom and myself and her actually had the chance to shower together.

I bought a lot of clothes and 2 pairs of shoes for her which were quite cheap. She loved seeing the water fountain at KLCC and the huge christmas tree there.

When we were at the department store, she refused to hold our hands and like to wander off by herself. Then Adrian and I wanted to teach her a lesson by hiding ourselves when she kept looking for us. The look of her lost face was so pitiful when she cried out loud, and couldn't find us.. I can't imagine how she will feel if she really lose us outside one day.

We extended our stay for another nite. On the last day on 26th dec, we brought her for a dip at jacuzzi. She loved it. Initially she was very resistant to the pool, bubbles and hot tub, but after that she was ok. We took some pictures at our room with the Twin towers as background. She would always remember the building has Twinke Twinkle little stars.

16 mths 10days

Had a playdate at my house today with 2 other toddlers. Giselle had fun playing with them. i myself also learnt from other mummies how they teach their kid at home. Don't know why Giselle has been getting cranky during the evening whenever we brought her out...

Busy Buddies Class, 16mth 7days

Giselle was quite clingy to me during the initial 15 mins of the class. Luckily she started to warm up when the teachers played with her.

Throughout the class, she couldn't sit still. During the water colour play, as usual, she refused to participate in the stamping on colours on paper. The theme for today was '' star''. Hence the kids were asked to stamp colours using star fruit. I think mainly she didn't like to get dirtied.

During snack time, she refused to eat the food on her plate and kept wanting to get out of her chair and run about. However, during the last part of the class, she enjoyed the swing very much and began to mingle with other parents as well. Teacher Su-Lin said she is very friendly and sociable. And it is normal for Giselle to be fearful of the water colours but once they cross the hurdle, they would love it.

Today she kept calling ''ma ma'' non stop again :)

Sunday, November 19, 2006

16 mths 4 days

Giselle finally made another advancement in her motor skills, that is, to climb on the dining chair and take the things on the dinner table.

Brought her out for dinner and Adrian carried her. She kept calling ''ma ma, ma ma''.

Mummy Changed her Hairstyle

AGE: 16 MONTHS 2 DAYS

Taught her to say "rice" today and she pronounced it as "race". I changed my hairstyle ( to short crop) to day and thought she may not recognise me. When I reached home, she just smiled at me, then came over to hug me telling me she can still recognise me and still love me all the same.

She fell from the blue Playskool walker and hit her left face, as usual, a stick of Pocky will do the trick. Cookie is the 1st word that she knows how to pronouced 2 sylibus.

Brought her to Vivocity an she was really cranky as she didn't have enough sleep. She was screaming and heads were all turn to me as usual,

Once reached home, after her usual milk, she slept within 5 mins on her bed.

Hit Herself 2 times in A Day

Giselle hit herself 3 times today:

1) While crawling over dad and hit her face the wall

2) Bang her hand against the glass door at Mt Fabar Safra Japanese Restaurant.

Adrian and I felt really heartpain. Today she naturally said "Cookie" when I asked her what's my hand holding (pocky). She had also said "Mug" when i was holding her milk in my hands. Though she did not pronounce it actually but can see she has made a great advancement in speech.

Guess she is of different stage where her speech is acelerating. She has also started to call me "mama" when she sees me now.

BusyBuddies Trial Class

Her trial class for Busybuddies started today. I was surprised that Giselle was actually quite sociable. She did not stick to me during the class at all. In fact, she loves to mingle with other caucasion kids.

During the water colour play, teacher Su-Lin asked all kids to wet their hands with colours and stained on the papers. I striped Giselle down to her diapers to prevent being dirtied. Giselle was frustrated by the colours on her hands. Teacher tried to calm her down by assuring her that it was ok.

When she discovered there was a sink with tap nearby, she kept going to the sink during the song session at the rainbow mat. I enjoyed attending the lesson with her though it was very tiring that I have to swing her, catch her back to the group when she wandered off.

1st Zoo Trip

Today was Giselle 1st trip to the zoo. She was quity feary of the animals. The parrot looks very cute as 1st look, but when it sqwak, Giselle got scared and cried. Basically she enjoyed the walk throughout the trip.

However, she felt tired and fell asleep at the playground of the zoo. We did not take the tram but walk instead throughout. We did not even bring any stroller with us. Luckily, Giselle was quite cooperative throughout.

16mths 6 days

She slept from 2pm till 2.45pm. Woke up and continue to sleep till about 3.45pm. Woke up again and drank milk. After which continue to sleep till 5.30pm.

We opened up the masak (cooking toys) for her. She was so happy. Adrian started to demostrate to her how to play. Giselle kept turning her head and smiled at me like she was giggling at Adrian for being so ''childish''. haha. Really very funny. After she learnt how to play and cook, she began to feed both of us with her ''food''.

She was so happy tonight and kept running about in the house. Put her to bed at 9pm and she only managed to fall asleep at 10pm

SHe has received lotsa of presents and everyone just wanted to carry her. We sang birthday song while she just stood on the chair in front of her Strawberry Shortcake cake we got from her. After that, we blew the candles for her. She was really tired and after her nap, she tore open the presents happily . She has also receive quite big angpows from our relatives.
