Wonderful Perth Trip 07

Perth Trip 26 May 07 to 2 Jun 07

We have set off to Changi Airport at about 7+am, flight was at 9.15am. Giselle was quite alrite in the flight and the air crew love her very much, giving her toys, drinks etc. She basically likes to jump, walk about around our seats.

On reaching Perth and our hotel at Duxton, she and Ethan were busy running about and catching each other at the lobby while checking was in process. When the door of our suite was opened, she was excitedly running about in from the hall to the room and to the bathroom where she spent most of the time playing the bath tub taps. I have a hard time asking her to go out of the bathroom. She has mild diahrrea on the 1st day but was soon recovered on the next day.

I myself was down with fever on the 2nd day of the trip, but was quite manageable after popping some fever tablets. But I felt whole body was very tired and no energy. But still I try my best to look good in order not affect everyone’s trip. Giselle was quite alright with food. Basically I was feed her some outside food as well as white porridge that I cooked in the thermal jar.

It wasn’t really easy to take care of her as some times I really cannot control her. Adrian did help but can see both of us can see she is quite a handful.

First few days we spent our days checking our Perth city, Swan River which is just gorgeous. The weather was cooling and cold when the wind blows.

On the 4th nite and next 2 nites, we checked into the RiverRetreat cottage at Swan Valley. It was really a fantastic, homely cottage where there’s a mini-farm very near to our garden. There are sheeps, goats, pig, rabbits, horse & chickens and Giselle simply loves that though she did not dare to go near them. Every morning she would wake up, jump out of bed, stand at the room window panel and point to the sheeps, saying “meh-meh”, chicken. Can see she really loves to see them. Early morning is when the sheeps went from their grass gazing and Giselle will wait patiently for them to come back.

Sometimes, Adrian will drive the car and bring us to Midland for shopping and makans. I bought a ball for her at Kmart.

During this trip when we can spend 24/7 of our time with Giselle, we realised that there’s a lot of things she know and she can actually sign and do the actions happily when in the car. Normally I will sing the “Mr Sun song” and Hi-5 song to her and she enjoyed them.

When Adrian has some nite driving to and fro our cottage, she would want to hold my hand for courage as the roads were dark. However, she loves to see the moon and stars along the way to the cottage.

I bet she can enjoy even better when she is older. Probably may bring her to Disneyland when she is about 3 to 4 years old.
