Swimming @ Mt Faber Safra

We had brought Giselle for a dip for quite sometime. Hence, today decided to do since the weather was quite nice with Sun around.
She had outgrown 2 of her swimming costumes except for the big Power Puff Girl swimmimg costume which I wrong bought 1.5 years ago.

She was very excited when she saw the pool and began to splash water. Initially she has a little fear but soon got warmed up by walking around in the pool with her arm float on. We wanted to teach some water kicking skills but she refused to go horizontal in the pool and kept screaming.
When she saw the slide in the pool, she wanted to try it and kept saying "Playground".

Fashion Show @ Del-care

Her school had organised a Fashion Show and encouraged we parents to dress our kids up as princess, prince, cartoon charaters.

As Giselle was still so young, there isn't any much choices for me to dress her up as. In the end, I just let her wear as per normal, trying to bring some nice clothes for her so that her teachers can help to dress her up as a pretty little girl.

The other kids in the school had dressed up as Spidermans (4 of them), superman, police, chef and many princesses. It was quite fun watching how the kids parade their costumes.

Then when come to Giselle turn to do the cat walk, she refused to do it, in the end, I have to walk the red carpet with her.

"Wash Hair".... Hahaha

I was cooking Giselle dinner today when I called for her to come. After a few calls with no response, I went to look for her but could not find her anywhere, I panicked. Adrian jumped out from the bed and finally found her in my masterbedroom toilet.

When I saw her, she was squatting down, with her hands full of her baby shampoo. She saw me and quickly put both her hands on her hair, telling me "wash hair". Then she began to rub the shampoo on her hair...I really dunno whether to laugh or get angry. OMG... I tried to use a wet handky to wash the shampoo off but it was just too thick. Hence, no choice, I had to pull her over and use the shower head to wash her shampoo away.

Happy Little Girl at Orchard!

We brought her out to Orchard this morning and she was like a happy little girl just came out to see the world. She loves running around in stores seeing thing and trying on things like caps, shoes. The salesgirls were all smiling and waving at her..

Adrian bought her a book on Nursry Rhymes, stories from Borders, hoping she can cultivate the habit of reading more books as she grows.

1 More Month to the BIG 2!!!!! :)

She has just turned 23months and we are counting down to her 2 years old birthday. During the last 1 month, she has improved tremendously in her speech. She can sing alittle of twinkle twinkle little star in Mandarin.

Ms Angela told me she can be quite naughty in school but she is a very smart child. She took her class out to the corridor for a short walk and Giselle was running happily all the way... Ms Angela caught her back and b4 she can warn her not to run, she said to Ms Angela : "No running"... hahaha

Her school has also started to bring them out in strollers to visit nearby shops at the Tanjong Pagar market. Giselle is the 1st one to wear her shoes when Ms Angela said it is time to go out for a walk. However, when she and her class were out, all of them were as quiet as mice.

Giselle can be really stubborn and refused to take out instructions. So Adrian and me has started the "Time Out" punishment. That is to make her stand at the corner and face the wall/door.

Wonderful Perth Trip 07

Perth Trip 26 May 07 to 2 Jun 07

We have set off to Changi Airport at about 7+am, flight was at 9.15am. Giselle was quite alrite in the flight and the air crew love her very much, giving her toys, drinks etc. She basically likes to jump, walk about around our seats.

On reaching Perth and our hotel at Duxton, she and Ethan were busy running about and catching each other at the lobby while checking was in process. When the door of our suite was opened, she was excitedly running about in from the hall to the room and to the bathroom where she spent most of the time playing the bath tub taps. I have a hard time asking her to go out of the bathroom. She has mild diahrrea on the 1st day but was soon recovered on the next day.

I myself was down with fever on the 2nd day of the trip, but was quite manageable after popping some fever tablets. But I felt whole body was very tired and no energy. But still I try my best to look good in order not affect everyone’s trip. Giselle was quite alright with food. Basically I was feed her some outside food as well as white porridge that I cooked in the thermal jar.

It wasn’t really easy to take care of her as some times I really cannot control her. Adrian did help but can see both of us can see she is quite a handful.

First few days we spent our days checking our Perth city, Swan River which is just gorgeous. The weather was cooling and cold when the wind blows.

On the 4th nite and next 2 nites, we checked into the RiverRetreat cottage at Swan Valley. It was really a fantastic, homely cottage where there’s a mini-farm very near to our garden. There are sheeps, goats, pig, rabbits, horse & chickens and Giselle simply loves that though she did not dare to go near them. Every morning she would wake up, jump out of bed, stand at the room window panel and point to the sheeps, saying “meh-meh”, chicken. Can see she really loves to see them. Early morning is when the sheeps went from their grass gazing and Giselle will wait patiently for them to come back.

Sometimes, Adrian will drive the car and bring us to Midland for shopping and makans. I bought a ball for her at Kmart.

During this trip when we can spend 24/7 of our time with Giselle, we realised that there’s a lot of things she know and she can actually sign and do the actions happily when in the car. Normally I will sing the “Mr Sun song” and Hi-5 song to her and she enjoyed them.

When Adrian has some nite driving to and fro our cottage, she would want to hold my hand for courage as the roads were dark. However, she loves to see the moon and stars along the way to the cottage.

I bet she can enjoy even better when she is older. Probably may bring her to Disneyland when she is about 3 to 4 years old.
