Last Day of 2008...

After our dinner, we took a walk to Hong Lim Complex and I took a couple of night shots with my camera.

Giselle's Photography Skills...!

Since it was New Year's Eve and we decided to have a better dinner at Han's Cafe at Great Eastern Building. We thought of going to view the fireworks but thing we better go home for a good rest.
While Adrian and I were having our meals, Giselle had fun taking shots of us using my camera. She took a headless shot of her daddy and most of the time Adrian and I had to move ourselves to fit into her screen. Hahaha.

Banana Cupcakes

Did some banana cupcakes (1st time) on my off day and turn out to be quite nice though I find it abit too sweet. Giselle liked it but I forbid her to eat too much. haha. Then I should have been more daring and put more mixture to each cup.

On Christmas Day...

Brought Giselle to attend a Christmas party organised by Adrian's partner for the Drum School. We had some yummy Nasi Padang at the venue at Woodlands and enjoyed some Drum performance... :)

Then at night, we went for Hainanese Steamboat dinner at Golden Mile basement. Very nice food and Giselle enjoyed the food too :)

Thereafter, we walked from Goldmile Complex to Bugis MRT and took train home.

Christmas Eve at Orchard

I had arranged to take hippo bus for a tour of the Christmas lights tonight but it was a wet Christmas eve, hence the ride was cancelled.

Though I did not meet my friends, we still went ahead to Orchard by our car. Luckily the traffic was very smooth with ample lots around for parking. We parked at Wellington for $3 per entry and went to Sushi Tei Paragon for dinner. Surprisingly we got a table within 10mins :) The 3 of us enjoyed the dinner and had funs taking pictures on our own :)

After the dinner, we went round Paragon to take some pictures with the decorations in the building. When just about leaving Paragon, we were attracted by some beautiful music by Piano and we decided to get near to it. The pieces were beautifully played by a pianist and he was very friendly, kept asking Giselle to sit with him... :) Giselle was very happy tonight.

Christmas Party at Delcare

Delcare organised a Christmas Party for their Princes and Princesses. All of them are supposed to dress up like one on the day. The food were all contributed by the kids' parents and I made Fruit Salad for them.

Some of them dresses really nice, you could see how Chelcia dressed herself up... For Giselle, I had a big headache. I don't have such costume for her (luckily she did not request for one), hence I just let her wear her favourite blue long dress which she always call it as her 'Cinderella dress' with a tiara on her head. Phew!

You can look at how nice the photos were taken professional. Yixin, the photographer, has beautifully captured the expressions and emotions of the guests and host during the party. More of her works can be seen at:

1st Christmas Party with her boyfriend this year....:)

Today Giselle attended her Daddy's company Christmas party at Cafe Pralet. It was an enjoyable party with alot of gift exchanges, food and laughter. Her boyfriend, Yee Peng, has "chopped" Giselle to be his partner for the night. The moment her boyfriend saw Giselle stepped into the cafe, he told his mum "mei4-mei4 heng2 mei2" (she is very pretty)!!!! Haha, all of us cannot stop lauging... This boy is such a adorable and friendly boy.
Then his mum told his son that he must start saving money now to give to me next time to marry Giselle... hahaha...

Subtle Japanese Cheese Cake

Recently got hold of a Japanese Cheese cake recipe given by a good friend. I decided to give it a try since she said it is very suitable for young kids and babies. The taste is very light and subtle and her daddy also likes it too.
Managed to bake it today and it was quite a success. Though it was abit moist at the bottom layer but Giselle loved it so much that she gobble down almost 3 slices... :) You could see her satisfied look while eating the home-made cheese cake ;)

Her favourite Charity...

Since young, whenever Giselle sees this little girl, she would always ask for coins to "tong" into her box. Perhaps it started when her Daddy taught her when young to donate $ to this SPCA girl... :)

Some updates on her swimming progress

So far she has been learning water-kicking, blowing bubbles, "Star floating". I like this Star Floating alot as this could build her confidence on the water. It is mainly to let them lie and float with the board behind her back and she is to open out her arms and legs alone. Initially she was afraid of this and kept grabbing her coach or her daddy. After a few tries, she is getting better now :)

A Date with Winnie the Pooh & Friends!!!

Christmas is round the corner and many shopping centres have arranged for some Disney characters to attact shoppers.

Today Takashimaya has arranged for Winnie the Pooh and friends to have a meet-&-greet-session with kids. Intially I thought they going to have some songs and dance show but it turned out to be a photo session.

Giselle was rather afraid of the loud music when we sat down waiting. After a while she got warmed up and told me she wanted Winnie Pooh to give her 4 sweets, 1 balloon and some toys. haha, what a greedy little gal.

When it was out turn to go up the stage, Giselle waived to the 3 characters, shook hand with Winnie Pooh and had a hi-five with eyore. However, she was quite disappointed that Piglet wasn't there...

A pix was taken with the help of the many guest relation officers there. It was Giselle first close encounter with the characters and I am glad she enjoyed it :)

Giselle and her Christmas Tree!!! :)

Thinking she would enjoy Christmas better this year, I bought her a table-top size tree from Takashimaya. The tree wasn't cheap at $29.90 but glad that she had enjoyed choosing the decorations at the store and even enjoyed the fun of the decorating her tree at home :)
