Fun Day @ Jurong Safra....

Since it is Giselle off-day from school today, her Daddy suggested that we bring our baobei to Jurong Safra to try the 5-storey-high indoor kids playground called "Kidz Amaze". More info is found at:

We paid $9 for her and another $2.15 for her daddy to accompany her in. This rate is for safra members. If you are a kidz Amaze member, you will pay even lower price. Heard that they have a 1 for 1 kid promo till 20 Nov 09.

However, when we reached there at about 11.30am, we realised that the opening hours on weekdays are from 1pm. Hence we headed to the swimming pool instead...

Initially when her Daddy was clearing some of his office emails at Hans Cafe, I brought Giselle to sit beside the pool watching the children play. However, she got impatient and kept asking when she can go into the pool. Hence, no choice, I have to change her to her swimming costume and let her dip inside on her own with her board float. She had a fun time at the children's pool swimming round and round...

After satisfying her hunger for swimming pool, we brought her for lunch at the Ishi Mura Japanese food court. She loved the mushroom soup and the toasted bread which was quite a steal at $1.40 after safra discount.

We reached the Kidz Amaze at about 2.45pm where she and her Daddy spent about an hour and a half in it. For me, I was taking the lift up and down, trying to take pictures of her.

Then there was moment her Daddy lost Giselle while in the maze. It happened when her Daddy told Giselle to meet him below while he took the tube slide down. However, he didn't realise our timid gal didn't know how to climb down.

That moment, I knew Giselle would be crying for us. Luckily, we saw 2 jie-jie guided her and brought her down to us. Her face was covered with tears when we saw her....

After a tea-break at Hans Cafe, Giselle suggested to go up to the Kidz Amaze again. Her Daddy said he cannot make it anymore. Hence, I told Giselle that I can bring her there but she has to go in alone.

Giselle did went in alone but she only stayed at the 1st level, enjoying the moment of picking up the foam balls into bags...

We left Safra at about 5pm.... Exhausted!

Lunch @ Aquamarine Cafe, Marina Mandarin Hotel

As OCBC Credit Cards is having a 1-for-1 promotion at the Marina Mandarin for their buffet, I brought my parents and Giselle for a sumptous meal before going to Bali on 8 Nov 09.

Since we couldn't get a even no. of person for this buffet, I ordered a club sandwich from the ala-carte menu for myself. Giselle is free to enjoy the buffet at she is below 5 years of age.

I would say the ambience and service is good at the Aquamarine but the food spread I would say was just so-so. The desserts section was a disappointment as they don't even have things like Fondue. The Japanese section was quite popular though.
The usual cost for this buffet is $42++ per pax.

Giselle didn't really enjoy the food but she enjoyed space at the hotel lobby. She was running about happily until I have to ask her to stop disturbing others.

Fairfield School Concert 2009

It was the full dress rehearsal for Giselle's school graduation concert this morning and she was supposed to dress in vietnamese costume.

She performed a dance and a Gingerbread poem recite which she has been practising in school since a month+ ago.
Her por-por and gong-gong went over to support her too. We were very happy that she done really well this time. We could see her smiling and dancing relaxingly on stage :)

The sun was really scotching hot today...

A Fun Outing at West Coast Park

Her Daddy bladed with her round the Park while I sat at McCafe to "jagar" belongings :(

It is K2 Blades for Giselle now...

Giselle's Daddy want to get crash guard for himself and so we headed to Skateline mainshop at Paya Lebar...

The shop was big and comfortable unlike the skate shops at East Coast park. Giselle and her Daddy managed to to take their time to try the blades out with the patience and friendly service by a young guy.

The service staff recommended the K2 blades for Giselle and she seems to like it very much. This time round her Daddy decides to upgrade her to a K2 4-wheel blades as she seems ready for it, given her performance for the last 3 months... However, the pair cost a wopping $199!!!. According to her Daddy and the sales staff, K2 is one of the best brand for blades and for kids. With don't-know-what smoother movement etc... Or maybe the blades can make one fly... haha.

After trying on the blades, Giselle bladed happily around in the shop smoothly and the service staff was very surprised that she could blade so well at her age... I said most probably kids can pick up skills faster than adults...
Her Daddy also started trying new pairs of blades at the shop. The sales staff patiently explained the difference between each blades and types of wheels. He nearly wanted to buy a pair that cost $400+... luckily he changed his mind last minute as I told him the new pair didn't look macho on him... haha ;p

We left the shop at about 3.30pm and headed to Joo Chiat to eat the Fei Fei wanton mee. After a shop break, we went to the dim sum shop at Big Splash for some desserts...

Giselle was so excited about her new blades that she immediately wanted to try them on upon reach home...

A very Short Trip to Sentosa

Her Daddy wanted to get some beach wear and so he suggested to go to the beach wear shop (Island Shop) near to Koufu food court at Palawan Beach. The shop has reasonable priced beach wears for kids and adults.
Since we have the Sentosa membership, we only paid for our car to go into Sentosa. After shopping, we went to food court for lunch and Giselle met her Fairfield classmate - Owen. The gal in the center of the picture is Owen's elder sister. Owen and Giselle had some fun playing with ball.
After taking lunch, we headed straight home as the weather was too hot to stay longer. Giselle kept pestering us that she wanted to go to the water play area but we simply refused...

Her Infant Car Seat

Giselle used this infant car seat when she was baby and I lend it to my friend as she has outgrown it. My friend just returned this infant car seat to me tonight as I need to pass it to another friend.
My dear Giselle was having lots of fun with this infant car seat. She sat in it, rock it and sang songs with actions happily in it... Hmm, seems like she can still use the infant car seat even though she is the double size of it... hahaha...

Detailed Scan on Week 18

Everything seems alright... Just that placenta is abit on the low side...

It's just amazing how baby has grown over the period....

Gong-Gong's Birthday today!:)

It was quite a last minutes celebration for her gong-gong because mummy only remembered it the night before ;p

Nevertheless, managed to buy a nice Mango cake from Four Leaves Bakery and bring it to Redhill during evening time.
Giselle sang and clapped for her gong-gong and he was very happy :) However, Giselle blew the candle as though it was her birthday... hahaha...

Children's Day Party at RC & Mid Autumn Festival

Brought her to attend a children's Day party organised by the RC in my area. Each ticket cost $2 and the kids get to play games, received goodie bag and a MacDonald's Happy meal.
Giselle was rather excited to attend the party. She joined the games and quiz with the others though they were too difficult for her age. She was in Team A, wearing the pink sunshield hat. After the games, the kids were led to collect their Happy Meal and goodie bag. You could see her happy and satisfying look from the photo after she has received the items :)
When she is at home now, she would wear the pink hat and tell me "Team A". So funny! :)
Later that night, her Daddy brought her to the playground below my block to play lanterns and candles with other kids till 11.15pm. Luckily Giselle has her Daddy to bring her around for fun as eversince I got pregnant, my energy level is really low.
