Giselle's Counting Down to her 5th Birthday...

The conversation went like this:

Giselle: "Mummy, Mummy, today is still June?

Me: "Yes!"

Giselle: "My Birthday coming soon right?"

Me: "Yes, are you excited?"

Giselle: "Yes! My Birthday is on July 15"

Me: "What you want for your birthday?"

Giselle: "I don't know!"

Me: "You don't know? Are you sure you don't know?:)"

Giselle: "I want Bee Hoon!"

Me: "Huh? You want Bee Hoon? Ok, will ask Daddy go to the market to buy a packet of Bee Hoon that day..." Hahaha

Everytime when she talks about her birthday, she gets really excited and happy! In the end, she told me she wanted to prepare Goodie Bags for her classmates and a Hello Kitty Birthday cake.

Her Special Playground

My estate has 2 playgrounds and d one shown in d photo is more for older kids and above.

At times, Giselle likes to visit this one with many obstacles. Initially she is very skeptical about playing at this playground. But after a few tries, her confidence get better, she began to like this place :)

Dim Sum Lunch at The Jade, Fullerton Hotel

We brought my parents to The Jade Restaurant, together with my brother and sis-in-law, for a nice tim sum lunch. They were having tim sum buffet on weekends and Jaime had booked this weeks ahead.

Giselle had fun playing Jaime and my brother. After lunch, we walked over to the Asian Civilisation Museum for a walk.

While passing through the Cavenagh bridge, we stopped to take a few pictures. Since my dad was there, we managed to take a few nice family photos.

End of June Holidays for Giselle

Yesterday marked the last day of a month long school holiday for Giselle.

This june holiday was definitely a lazy one for her because she has been sleeping till late almost every morning. I wonder how is she going to adapt to reality next week when she has to wake up at 6.30am on school days.

As Jaren gets older, he could "communicate" with Giselle more. They adore each other - laugh, smile together. Whenever I am busy, Giselle is my little helper to her baby brother :)

A Nice Monday

Supposed to have a baking session today but was postponed.

Hence I brought Giselle n Jaren to Vivo City by bus since the weather was nice n cooling.

I put Jaren in my Pikkolo carrier to make it easier for me to board n alight from the bus n to take care of Giselle :)

It was a nice trip though Giselle is more difficult to manage nowadays.

Jaren @ 12 weeks old

Times flies and Jaren is coming to 12 weeks old now.

He smiles and babble alot now. He is also more conscious of his surrounding and he really wriggles alot whenever he is placed on the matteress or cot. He would been his knees, uses his heels and body to push himself upwards. Most of the time he will corner himself and get really angry demanding for help. They said boys are usually more active which I find is really true. Giselle wasn't like that at Jaren's age. She is definitely more demure then... but now, she is also behaving like a boy at times... haiz..

Kiddy Rides

Giselle has always been a big fan of kiddy rides but usually she does not demand us to put in coins for her. That's the good part of her nature.

But at times we would ask her if she wants to have a ride when she has been a good gal on that day :)

Jaren's Milestone

Jaren's motorskills has been surprising everybody.

At about 2+week old, he began to show signs that he was able to lift his head high when on tummy time. By 3 weeks, his neck became even stronger n confidently lift his head high up.

Then came his flipping skills that came at week5 when he was able to flip from tummy side down to tummy side up.

After my nanny left at week 4 I had him fix to a routine n sleep with any assistance from me. After 3 weeks of cries n difficulties, he managed to sleep through the night without waking up for milk at week 7. Most important of all, he has learn to soothe himself to sleep in his cot. This has help me alot in terms of my time management. Jargling with 2 kids is really no joke but luckily Jaren has made it slightly easier for me. Of course I have to continue to keep my fingers crossed all the time.

Today at week 10, Jaren is able to flip from tummy side up to tummy side down. I just fear that I wouldn't be able to cope if he starts crawling soon.

Wonderful Day Today!

Daddy took off from work and took all of us to West Coast Park for MacDonald breakfast and a stroll in the park.

The weather was exceptionally nice today and all of us enjoyed it.

During d evening time, we headed to Crystal Jade Kitchen for a simple dinner. Giselle enjoyed the dinner alot and so did me. Hehe!:)

My 1st Shopping Trip with Giselle n Jaren Alone!

I was a little adventurous today as Giselle has no school. Since haven't went shopping for a long time, I brought d 2 of them to Isetan. Left home at 11.30am n reached home at 3pm.

Before leaving d house I highlighted to Giselle that she is not to push d stroller n to listen to my instructions.

We told cabs to n fro. Luckily d drivers were helpful enough to keep my stroller.

Jaren was pretty happy to be in d stroller, enjoying things that came within his sight. His smiles are always melting my heart.

Giselle has been alright just that she got excited at d toys department n refused to listen to me. Otherwise she had been good to help me look after Jaren when I was trying clothes in d fitting room n helping me to take things when I was changing Jaren's diaper.

I wanted to venture to Takashimaya but told myself I better not be too daring.

Overall, this has been a good trip though I became super tired after that :)

Supper at Canele (Robertson Quay)

After our dinner at the Japanese Restuarant, we headed to Canele for some sweet stuff and tea. One of the pixs show the $2.50/pc chocolate, really very yummy! :)

I Cannot Stop Laughing at this Photo!

Giselle was rubbing her nose because Jaren's "standing hair" was tickling her nose. Then it seems like Jaren was having fun out of this, hence he was laughing... :)

Kallang Leisure Park

Went to Kallang Leisure Park for a walk this evening. Nothing much there except for d ice skating place which Giselle likes.

Giselle's Good Friend

Giselle has been meeting Kalista to play every week. Either they are blading or having fun at the basketball court below my block.

Kalista has been a thoughtful, patience and loving big jie jie to Giselle. Glad that 2 of them can get along well :)

2 of my Bao Beis....

Nothing to wish for myself... Just hope that both of them will grow up to be useful people and with good health and character...

Eversince my nanny has left, life has been busy for me. Hardly can find time to sit down and use the computer and no more "ME" time for the time being :(

However, life has been very fulfilling for me though, hands on taking care of Jaren and Giselle at the same time. Sometimes can hardly breathe but will starts to think back how am I going to manage to my time properly?!

So far, started to put Jaren on a routine and time is more predictable for me as in what I can do. When time allows, I will take a short nap with Jaren in the morning when Giselle is in school.

Before Giselle returns, I will quickly prepare lunch for her and myself. And at night, will quickly cook a simple dinner for all 3 of us. Just hope everyone gets to eat home cooked food rather than the food outside.

The picture (pls omit the newspaper as background, haha) shows a few dishes that I prepared yesterday. Well, presentation was really lousy, i know. hehe :p

Had been thinking of whether to get a cot mobile for Jaren until recently I find that it may help to keep Jaren entertained for a short while. Went to SMH forum to search and was very lucky to bought this new Tomy Disney Musical Cot Mobile for him. The mommy was very nice to even deliver to me personal since I need it urgently...

It was really a good buy at $50!

Caring Jie Jie...

Giselle so far has been very caring and protective towards Jaren which we are very happy and glad.

We have started to bring Jaren down for walks and Giselle is always very eager to push Jaren by herself. When we sat down at bench, she would talk to Jaren and talk anything under the trees... :)

Jaren's 1st "Love Bite"!

He was feeling bored and I saw began to play with his hand. Then the next thing I know he suckled hate and long on it and resulted in this "LOVE BITE!!!".... hahaha
