Keith's 3rd Birthday Bash!!!

Before we knew it, it Keith is turning 3 tomorrow and he is such a big boy now... He talks more and share his toys around... :)

His mummy has organised a party at their house today with his favourite Thomas the train as the party theme. The goodie bags were nicely done up by his thoughtful mummy and Giselle loves the goodie bag very much.

The food was yummy and all guests has a great time chatting up with one and other, while the kids enjoyed playing the toys at the house.

I brought Giselle to attend this party after her Berries World chinese class. She was so tired that she slept in Regina's car which was so comfortable :)

Fun Day @ Marina Barrage

Delcare has organised a outing for NII kids and Giselle got to visit Marina Barrage with her classmates for some waterplay.
Had decided to join Giselle and her friends for some fun time. The first thing that her friends asked me was how come I am not wearing Yellow Tee shirt. Haha! It is a requirement for the Delcare kids to wear yellow top when they are going for an outing.....

Reached that place at about 10am and the all the kids were so excited. After going to the toilet, all the kids stripped down to their swimming attire and dashed towards the water.
Giselle and her friends had fun splashing water at one and another. She and Audrey had a good time running across the fountains and making her teachers wet...
After about an 1hour of playtime, the rain started and all the teachers gathering them under the shelter to change into their dry clothes and eat lunch....

I seldom join their outing as I am afraid that Giselle would stick to me. However, she is much more independent than expected. I enjoyed watching and hearing her chatting with her friends... :)

Tuna Potato Pie for Giselle

Tried follow a simple recipe from a book that Teresa has lent to me. This dish is really very simple make. Basically my first layer (from the bottom) is mashed egg, followed by tuna mixed with veggies. Top part I put in a thick layer of potatoes and sprinked some cheddar cheese.
I made 2. Giselle helped me with the other one. She had fun piling the ingredients in the souffle dish. Then I put it in the oven to bake at 180 degree C. It was ready in about 15mins to have a brown layer on top.
Giselle had this for dinner today and she loves it...!!!

But my mum tried and she said quite good :)

It's Mummy Birthday Today!!!

Just bought a simple cake from Tiong Bahru Plaza to make Giselle happy. She loves putting the candles and blowing them.. haha.

Fun time with Giselle making Wanton :)

After bringing Giselle to the dental, I brought her to NTUC to get some ingredients for making wanton. When we reached home, we started the wrapping after I have marinated the pork.
Initially she kept saying "I don't know how to wrap!". After some time, she began to wrap some triangle ones, rectangle ones and some wrap like a "bao1". haha.
So for tonight dinner, we just ate the wanton with the dried egg noodles that I have cooked. Adrian said it was very yummy.
The bowl that has carrots in it belongs to Giselle. Wanted to make it more colourful for her.

Giselle's 1st Visit to the Dental...

...and this mission had failed!!!
Days before going to the dental, I had spent time explaining to her why children needs to go to the Dentist to clean their teeth. She was quite enthusiastic about going to the Dentist and kept saying she wants to have a set of Princess White teeth. I even shown her pictures of what is going to happen during the visit.
While waiting for her turn at the clinic, her mood was very good. Things starts to change totally the moment she step in the treatment rooms. She started to get nervous. I managed to get her to sit on the treatment chair and the lady Dentist patiently expained all the things around her to Giselle.
Perhaps that the Dentist explained too much things to her that she stubbornly refused to open her mouth for treatment.
The group of us spent 45mins convincing her but we still failed terribly. I told her since she wants to leave with a dirty set of teeth, then let us go home. Who knows she refused to step out of the treatment room, but yet she still don't want to open her golden mouth. She just weeped quietly.... haiz...
In the end, I paid $30 consultation fee even though no service was rendered. When she reached home, she happily told me she wants to go to the Dentist again and said she will open her mouth this time... *faintz*

To Celebrate Mummy's Birthday in advance...

We had the dinner today instead because we thought of using tomorrow night for cake cutting. Since Adrian likes chinese food, so I thought of going to HK cafe at Vivo City. We ordered a noodle, mushroom fried rice and some fries... My dear Giselle just couldn't stop eating the fries....

Colourful Fried Rice for the Family

Can't think of anything to cook for dinner today and hence, went to dig out the ingredients from my fridge. This is the usual fried rice but this time round, I added some broccoli to make this dish a healthier one.

My family went for a loh hei cum crab dinner at Melben restaurant. My sister in law managed to get a table reserved through her friend who stays at the same block as the resturant. If not, the queue would be tremendous for us.

Raisins Cupcakes

While Adrian brought Giselle to attend a full month celebration of his colleague baby, I took the opportunity to stay at home to bake some raisin cupcakes. The results was quite good as the texture and sweetness were just nice. Phew! :)

Some Progress during Swimming

Giselle finally has some good improvement on her swimming skills as now she could swim without us or her coach holding on to her float... Her progress is quite slow but we were glad to see some progress made recently....This also means her water confidence is much better.

Chinese Lunar New Year Day 1

I had prepared to wear my cheongsum that was tailor-made in Shanghai. Giselle, on seeing me wearing this outfit, wanted to wear hers and refused to change to other more comfy dress that i bought for her.

As usual, we headed to my grandma house and stay at my in-law house to wait for visitors as usual. I was so tired that day end. Giselle had fun playing with her 9 year old cousin boy.

Royal Carribean Cruise Trip 16 - 19 Jan 09

We signed up for a cruise to Malaysia on 16 - 19 Jan 09. Who knows Adrian was down with fever the day we boarded the ship. The ship set sail at 4pm on the 16th and returned to Singapore on 19 Jan at 8am. The ship went to Penang and KL for docking.

We still continue with our holiday plans bringing along all the necessary medications. Adrian was sick throughout the trip and I myself got the virus from him on the last day and was down with cough and slight fever too.

Nevertheless, we were glad that Giselle had enjoyed herself on the ship with all the Kids Ocean Club activities. She made a new friend there, named Jun Yong. He is a lovely and friendly boy.

Giselle meals there was mainly broccoli with fish or pork taken from the buffet spread. Luckily I find the food suitable for her because they weren't too saltish.
