Happy 2nd Birthday to Max!! :)

It's another year of celebration for Max as he is now 2 years old! :)

Time really flies as we just attend his 1st birthday bash last dec...

As usual all the kids had a wonderful time at his party and his mommy has invited, Derrick the Entertainer to keep the kids happy.

The theme for this year party was "Construction Site". The goodies bags consisted of pliers, screws etc... all in toys form of course.. haha.. Kids and adults were given "helmets" to wear...

Giselle enjoyed herself so much... and I was happy that she was confident enough to go in front of the crowd to sing "twinkle twinkle little star" after Bernice has went out to sing a Birthday song for Max :) She and Bernice got a Elmo and Hello Kitty respectively (in a form of twisted balloon) :)

Now she so friend with Bernice, Brennan and Daryl after the trip to Clubmed Bali. Everytime when she sees them, she will go approach them to play with her....

Hi 5 Meet and Greet

Well, Hi-5 came to Takashimaya from 3 - 13 Dec for Meet and Greet shows. Actually by chance saw their performance last friday from B1 of Ngee Ann City. Thereafter, Giselle has been pestering me to bring her to "sit downstairs (in front of the stage)" to watch them sing and dance.

Hence I brought her there today early to queue for the 1pm show. We started to join the queue at about 12.20pm and she was sitted about about 12.35pm. Parents has to stand behind the group of kids throughout.

The Hi-5 group came out exactly to perform at 1pm for about 20mins. After that, we have to queue again for the photo session. Giselle went up the stage alone and I took the pictures below the stage.
She was so happy after the whole session and kept talking non-stop about Hi-5! Though I havd very bad backache after that, I am happy the effort I made for her was worth while... :)

Me & My Baobei :)

Haven't taken a nice picture with her recently until today... :)

My Vain Princess Did Her Ear Peircing today...!:)

Since about 2 months ago, I have been asking her if she wants to wear earrings like me and her replies most of the time were "Yes" even though I told it may pain a little during the piercing. Her daddy was quite against the idea of ear peircing as she was too young. He rather let her decide and go do it herself when she is older like during primary school age.

Today after her last Julia Gabriel class, we happened to pass by the B'dazzle earrings shop at Wisma Atria. Actually that was the shop that I wanted to bring her for ear piercing all these while due to their good track records for kids piercing.

Out of curiousity, I went into the shop and enquired how they would do the ear peircing for kids. Safe? Hygiene? Painless?...

One of the sales staff explained to me in detailed and managed to convince me. Hence, I bent down to Giselle and asked her if she wants wear earrings today. She nodded her head and said "Yes!" happily. Since she was ready, I just let her do it in case she changes her mind in the future.

I started to chose the earrings for her. In case of any ear sensitivity, I bought the 18K white gold series for her with a lilac colour stud for her. The ear piercing is free though.

The staff started to sit her down and use a small marker to dot the spot where they going to poke. Before the actual peircing, they would spay some very cold liquid to numb the area (Giselle started to whine a little at this time). 1 staff at each side of the ear and count 1,2,3... in went the earrings!

She didn't cry at all and I find the method used now is very good for kids. I was taught how to care for her newly peirced ears and it was very easy. She also doesn't need to avoid water immediately after the peircing.

When Giselle saw the earrings on her eas, she was delighted! And when at home, she kept asking me if the earrings are still there... hahaha... KIDS!:)

Giselle with Por Por!...

We met up with my mum to have lunch at Watami, ION. Giselle, as usual, was very happy to see her Por Por and started to pose for photos....
Brought her to Takashimaya for the sales shopping and bought her a pair of school shoes and a pair of pretty covered shoes to replace her crocs. Been wanting to get her a "safer" shoes as she had fell twice on slippery ground while wearing her crocs.

Holiday Programme @ Julia Gabriel

CHINESE CULTURAL ARTS PROGRAMME
Had signed Giselle up for this cultural programme since she enjoyed herself during the last chinese June Holiday classes.
The kids are exposed to chinese cultural arts through music, dance, arts, drama and stories. As usual Giselle was reluctantly to go in to the studio on the 1st day. At the end of the lesson, her teacher (Pan Lao Shi) commented that Giselle's arts skill are very good. She did very well in her painting as compare to other kids. I was thinking maybe it was due to her interest in arts and the skills she learnt from the arts lessons that I have sent her...
During the last one hour of the lesson on the last day, parents of the students were invited into the studio to see what our kids have learnt during the 5 -day programme.
There were 8 students in the class with 3 teachers. Giselle performed together with her classmates and I must say she did well though I still find her quite soft at times. She even could do a solo song/poem recite in front of strangers and I am proud of her! :)

Fun Day at Pasir Ris Kids Kampong

Her school brought her to Pasir Ris Kids Kampong for some fishing with a net. Her Daddy took off to follow her and her classmates there and they had a whale of a time there! :)

Giselle managed to net up some small fishes with the help of her daddy.

Our 1st Trip to Bali (8 - 14 Nov 09)

The programmes at Clubmed for kids were bascially organised by the Mini-clubmed and Petite Clubmed. All details were taken care by the GO (Guest Officers) there and they really did a wonderful job of making the kids happy. We parents can just relax there and do our own things :) Really a heaven for us too! :)

Daddy trying on the flying trapeze. He was quite good with it though! :)

The kids made very good friends with one and another there. Giselle kept sticking to Daryl and even "slept together"(shown above)... hahaha

Guess as usual, everyone was reluctant to leave Clubmed Bali after such a wonderful stay at Clubmed. All of us really enjoyed the makan, closeness and shopping. The kids, of course,
Must really thank our unofficial tour guide - Auntie Stephanie! Smuak!
