All set for Kukup Trip 6-7 Sep 08
Adrian's co. has organised this trip and Giselle and I decide to join her daddy to show support. We started the journey at about 10+am with the coach leaving Adrian's office.
We reach Kukup at about 1pm where we had some seafood lunch before we took a boat to the chalet. The chalet was near the jetty and it was a very relaxing place... it was built on stilts with water below us when it was high tide.
Giselle and I had some time to spend some quiet moments at the Jetty with her daddy busy arranging programmes. The breeze was very very nice and anyone could just fall asleep there easily....
The nite programme was wonderful. We adults had fun playing with firecracker and watching fireworks which were even better than NDP in Singapore :)
Food was nice but sinful. Owner was helpful and friendly too. Giselle and Carlynn became good friends there and enjoyed the stay there very well. Bascially a nice place for retreat. For more photos about the place, can refer to:

Princess Water Bottle

Picked her up from her school and she was so happy to see me. We shopped for quite some time on the children section of BHG. Everything she goes that, she would go to the area where they have characters like Princesses, Strawberry Shortcakes, Thomas the Train etc items for sales. She would admire the items especially her favourite Princesses items one by one...
Each time she goes there, she would never pester me or demand (zipped) that I must buy things for her... She would just tell me that her classmates have this and that, and I would tell her to that she has other things that they don't have as well.
Anyway, finally today I want to buy something for her (as a reward for being such a good girl) from the Princess shelves and told her choose one water bottle. She was so happy that she instantly told me which one she likes.
After BHG, had wanted to continue shopping at OG. But seeing she looked tired from all the walking, I just brought her directly to temple which was more important.

Running about at Raffles Place
Her daddy wanted to upgrade his handphone the new Samsung Omnia and hence we took a MRT down to M1 at Raffles Place. While Adrian was making his purchase at M1, Giselle was busy running about at the open space outside the station. She saw those fake ugly looking people "standing" on the grass and began to be very curious about them...
We also noticed today that she got bolder and bolder by running to and fro when me and Adrian were in different shops. I could be looking at clothes for 2 sec and she would disappear from my sight then. I got so worried when i can't find her and she had actually ran back to TCC cafe to find her daddy... OMG...
Agar Agar Mooncake
After eating Jen's agar agar yam mooncake, I fell in love with the mooncake immediately... So sedap!!
So I told myself must try to learn and try to do it myself... After a week of dreaming about it, manage to make sometime that looks like it... :)
For the top layer, I used the Dragon fruit with red flesh. The filling was the yam paste that I made myself using some potato starch powder, sugar and coconut milk. The botttom layer is just some agar agar powder, boiled with sugar and coconut milk.

Jonas Full Month and Sherise 2nd Birthday
Today is a special day for Sherise and her didi, Jonas. Her mummy has invited us to her house to celebrate her princess 2nd birthday and her newly arrived prince's full month.
Jennifer's mum is really a great cook. All her food - Ngoh hiong, chicken curry, fried beehoon, prawns were so yummy and I couldn't stop eating. Then came the agar agar mooncake made by Jen's confinement lady and her were so irresistable :)
The kids had fun playing with each other company. Giselle started to warm up later part and helped herself with Sherise toys.
Happy Birthday to Sherise!!! :)

THE VIRTUE OF SHARING
Adrian and I notice that Giselle is very wiling to share things around even those what she has was the last piece. When friends came to my house the last time with their children, she didn't mind if the children touched and mess with her toys. I thought most of the kids would come complain to parents but Giselle didn't complain a single bit.
Even when comes to food. That day her daddy gave her some raisins and told her no more after that round. She happily went to the dining table to enjoy her raisins. I purposely went over and asked her if I could have some.. She happily said "Yes" and started sharing with me (she was given only 5 or 6 raisins). When came to last piece, I purposely asked her if I could have the last one and she automatically nodded her head and put the last piece in my mouth :)
Seeing how a nice girl she was, her daddy gave her a few more raisins as her reward. We told her she was given more because she was very willing to share her food with others..

Very chatty Gal....
Sometimes she would get tired and grumbled, otherwise, she would enjoy browsing through the things that she likes, for eg, Princess collection, strawberry shortcake etc... But not even once, she would pester me to buy for her... In fact, sometimes she would say she will buy for me tomorow as i don't have this and that... Haha... I like to ask her why tomorrow? Not today? She can't answer me... probably she knew that she didn't have the money.
The way she replies me now also surprises me alot. One day, i asked her does she like me to bring her to the library. She told me yes and told me I haven't bring her for a swim for a long time also. Can't believe a just-turned-3 year old little girl could answer me like this... Hahaha

Finally she DID IT! :)
Giselle finally noes to peddle a bicycle (4-wheel kids type) correctly. We bought this bike last year and it is only recently that she decided to try peddling again after seeing her fren, Hwee Jun riding on her new bicycle downstairs...
Initially Giselle didn't do it well and kept peddling backwards, but after about 30mins she managed to do it....All of us were so happy... I think Giselle was the happiest :)
