Our Year End Trip.... :)

We set off to the airport early on 20 Dec so that the kids can enjoy the airport for while before boarding the plane. We arrived Bali at about 10pm and headed straight to Ramayana Hotel in Kuta for a good rest. It was a Balinese style room and it was spacious, especially the bathroom... Giselle kept asking when can soak in the tub! Our room was on the resort club floor and it has central lounge area where we can have free tea and snacks.

On the first 2 nights in Bali, our dear Jaren was screaming and crying his head off for 1-2 hours before going to sleep. I guessed he was really not used to his cot and new environment.

As it was raining season in Bali, we kind of expect we have to carry umbrella around. The 2nd day was drizzling almost whole day and we had a hard time struggling with a stroller and making sure the kids were not wet.

On the 3rd day, we checked out of the hotel and headed to Ubud to check in to The Ubud Village resort and Spa. Before going to the resort, we went to visit a waterfall and had lunch. Basically we were very lucky for the remaining days of the trip as the rain only came during the middle of the nights and stopped when daylight came. Phew!

We spent the remaining fews day enjoying the villa where they was fish pond, hot outdoor tub. And also not forgetting the good food and service; nice resort pool in ubud.

On Christmas Eve, we ate at a Japanese family Restaurant called Kagemusha. It was run by a couple who the Jap wife is the chef. It was restaurant was a favourite among Japanese. We went there for dinner and initially was shocked to find many lizards on the wall, various sizes even. I didn't dare to look at the wall and Giselle was very uncomfortable too. However, when the food arrived, all of us were totally enjoying the food, forgetting our "good friends" with us. Haha...

Overall, the whole family has enjoyed the trip though it was tiring for the adults to take care of the kids :) The next trip that we are all looking forward to will be the Hokkaido trip in May next year!....
