Giselle came to my office

Today is Kids@Work Day at DBS and most of my colleagues brought our kids to work. DBS has arranged for a line up of programme for kids. Giselle being so young wasn't so interested in the programmes and hence I only got her a balloon sculpture for her. I noticed that she loves the pop corns that were served.

She had enjoyed most of her time in my office, sitting on my chair and meddling with my desk things. After I fed her lunch, I brought her back to Delcare...

Daddy on RollerBlades!!!! He passed his 1st test! :)

This morning I brought Giselle to Bishan Park to support her Daddy taking his 1st level of rollerblading. He can blade pretty well and Giselle was very exciting to see her daddy on special shoes.... Weather was very hot and both of us were perspiring all the way...

Her good Friend, Vivian

Been wanting to put her good friend in school on Giselle's blog until now when I just managed to take the 2 of them together. You can see from the pictures that Vivian is a very sweet and pretty gal who often plays with Giselle. Her birth month is in Feb 05 and is older by 5months from Giselle. At times, she will act like a jie jie and will take care of Giselle, holding her hands etc. Last friday, was sad that we heard that Vivian is down with HFMD. We were shocked as I just met her that morning and she was fine and happy.
The school said that she had fever in the afternoon followed by some 1 spot on her feet, hand and below the lips... Guess I really have to watch out for Giselle in case she got it from her. Been monitoring closely on Giselle over the weekend and at the same time praying hard that her boday is strong enough to fight the HFMD virus.

Jealousy...

I find that Giselle gets jealous very easy when her daddy hug me or hold my hands. Her expression will turn to anger and she will just keep quiet, standing at where she is. She won't move or let us hold her hands until some time later

We have been educating her that Daddy and Mummy love each other and we love her very much as well. It is only recently that she is ok to see us hugging but she still find it unacceptable when I hold hands with her daddy. Guess it will take some time to know that there are different kinds of love in life...

Wow.... MERLION!!!!!!:)

After the Tuina course at Delcare, her daddy came over to pick us up where we headed to Boat Quay for some light snacks. Chanced upon the River Taxi and we decided to bring Giselle for a boat ride on the river. Tickets were $3 x 2 and Giselle had the ride for free.

Can see she has enjoyed the ride on the water and would cheered and laugh every time our boat when under the expressways. We alighted near Esplanade near where the Merlion is. She was very fancinated by the water coming out from the Merlion's mouth and she would imitate her. Really very funny. Hahaha. I will post the pixs once I got them uploaded from our handphones.

There were many people visiting the Merlion. Tourists, wedding couples taking their photo shoots etc. Giselle had a great time looking at the princesses (brides) and even pooed. Hence, we went to Fullerton Hotel to use their restrooms to wash her up and headed to Boat Quay to collect our car home. Thought it was a tiring day, but we are glad that Giselle has enjoyed this day :)

Infant & Children Massage & Tuina Course

Today had brought Giselle to attend this course organised jointly by Delcare and Singtrain Academy. This class was held at Delcare centre itself. During the last half of the lesson was a talk given by 97.2FM Bryan Gan on aromatherapy.

He has gave us many tips on using essential oils in our daily lifes and also taught us many different type of soups to cook for family. He personally recommended that Si Shen Soup is very good for general well-being and we should drink at least 2-3 times a week. He also gave has many DIY ways to massage our own body and face to prevent aging and improve our face complexion. I had thoroughly enjoyed his talk and find it abit too short even.

The 2nd half of the lesson is massage and tuina techniques taught by Singtrain Academy, Penny Chew. She is very lovely and friendly lady and is able to handle all of our questions. She has taught us different types of massage an tuina for babies and kids.

I find that other than medicines, tuina is a very good form of preventing and reliefing discomfort. Hope by attending course, I can improve the health of Giselle without giving her too much of relief of western medications.

Japanese Buffet at J-Toshi, M Hotel

Brought Giselle for a japanese buffet but in fact she ate very little. What surprised us that she enjoyed poking the tepanyakki Chickens pieces and eating them. :)

She was walking around most of the time and enjoyed go to the toilet to wee-wee. Over all, her toilet training has improved alot. She can tell us that she wants to go toilet everytime she has the urge. Very glad to know she can go without diapers 100% soon.....

Oversized for Jumperoo...Hahaha..!!!!!

Jennifer had returned the Fisher Price Jumperoo to me today. Giselle was very excited about it thinking it is alot of fun. Hence I adjusted the length to the max and who knows she still look oversized for it. Her legs are long and she can really ''jump''.

You can compare the photos above... see the difference? hahaha....

New Songs...

Giselle has learnt quite a few songs in school for the past week though her pronounciation was that clear. When she sang "Are you sleeping" song, she sang "Are you seeping, are you seeping, Barder Dong, Bardon Dong"... I was laughing all the way and she thought it was funny too and both of us were laughing throughout.... Hahahaha

Another Cycling Day for her Today...

Seeing that she loves to be on bicycle so much and her rashes are better, we brought her to East Coast Park again this morning....

She was so excited that she kept smiling and cheering on the way there. Can't get any front seat on the bike this time for her, hence we took the back seat for her for a change. She was quite alright enjoying the journey and the ride with her daddy. We stopped by ice-cream cafe and she surprised me by wanting to eat the ice-cream that I have bought. Most probably the weather was too hot.
We had lunch the East Coast hawker centre and she took the chicken rice that I have bought for her. On the way home, she was singing and clapping, telling us that she enjoyed her day so much but me and Adrian were just so tired that we just wanted to head straight home to bathe and rest... hahaha....

Her Development @ 27 months old...

She is really growing taller and taller with latest weight at 12.3kg. She can use words like "Yesterday", "so many", "also" to form her sentences and Ms Angela said she is really getting very talkative in class.

When she is happy, she can sing many songs to me including 1 or 2 are chinese songs. Her toilet-training is stil on-going which can be a disaster at times when she drank alot of water. Sometimes she can only tell me shh-shh after she has pee it out.

Guess I have to be more patient with her in this sense.... :)

Wedding of Kelvin & Amy...

Had brought Giselle to attend the wedding dinner of Kelvin & Amy at Swissotel Stamford at Raffles City this evening. We were all geared to keep her entertained there.
She was shy when she saw many guests around and began to hung on to us like a koala bear. We kept telling her to see "Princess" and she was quite excitedly about it... The bride was very beautiful and we managed to take a pix with the bride and bridegroom.
Giselle refused to let anyone carried her until towards the end when she was very sleepy and blur. Estelle and Helen managed to carry her away without any struggle from her. In fact she was quite happy with them and refused to come back to me and Adrian. Anyway, it's a good thing as we managed to enjoy our food :)
Giselle was very tired and she slept during the journey back home at about 11.30pm. We let her continue to sleep throughout the next day.
