Happenings at School for the past Week....

Dear Mummy & Daddy

It was very quiet in class all this week. A few of my friends actually stayed home due to Chicken pox. I hoped they would return soon so we could play and have fun together! I was sure it would be livelier with them around. Despite of their absence, the fun never stops! Here’s what happened this week.

For English, Ms. Angela read us a book called “Hairy bear”. Mama and Papa bear was asleep when Mama Bear heard some noises coming from outside and she was too afraid to see what was happening. So, she woke Papa bear up. However, Papa bear refused to wake up and he said that he would fight the robbers when he woke up. Mama bear was a little cross and said that Papa bear was a scaredy cat. To prove that he was not, he woke up and went to find the robbers. When they found where the noise came from, they opened the door… … only to find brother and sister bear eating in the kitchen! We all chuckled when we saw the bears eating in a mess!

Ms. Angela also taught us on the different types of fruits and vegetables. For example, we must eat lots of carrots to see in the dark. Lettuce and cucumbers were found in the salad we eat on Tuesdays. Pumpkin and broccoli were in the soup served to us! I didn’t know we eat this much of vegetables daily! It happened to be a Tuesday when Ms. Angela talked to us about vegetables. She even got some cucumber for us to try! It was very crunchy.
Ms. Angela also talked to us about fruits. Apples were what we ate daily and we could not get enough! Orange, banana, grapes and watermelon were some of the fruits she introduced to us too! Oh yes. Ms, Angela said that we will “poo poo” if we were to eat a lot of banana. (Hehe!)

For math, we did threading using buttons. We were indeed getting pretty good at it. We made it into necklace, bracelet an even belts! It was very colourful. We also did a revision on colours.

For art, we played with dough. This time round, we had new dough! It was orange in color and it had lemon smell. Ms. Tan was the one who prepared the dough for us. A million thanks to her! We also did vegetable leaf painting and apple printing. Vivian was very good at apple printing! She looked for white spaces on the paper and ‘stamped’ her apple. It was very neat and tidy. I sure hoped I could be like her too!

For food fun, we had fruit juice. Hmmm… not quite like fruit juice I must say. Hehe! Ms. Angela actually forgot about the fruit juicer and we used the blender instead. We add in some bananas and apples. It seemed more like a fruit smoothie to me. Sean, Amanda, Yesukhei, Jovan and Kyna kept asking for more! It must be very yummy.

That’s all for this week, Stay tune for more fun next week! I was sure my teachers would have more fun stuffs lined up!
