DES Dance Camp

Giselle attended a 4-day Dance Camp at DES and she had enjoyed herself thoroughly. The camp ran from 6 - 9 Dec, 10am-6pm.

Initially after the 1st day, she told me she didn't want to go to the Dance Camp on 2nd day morning. I had a hard time convincing her when she told me that she finds the hours to long. However, at the end of the 2nd day, she was so excited and told me she want to go the camp everyday!

Coincidentally, her previous childcare - Delcare, had sent some of the students to attend this camp as well. She met her old friends like Vivian, Vera etc.

During the camp, Giselle learnt many things like dance steps, culture etc. Meals were catered for and she told me the food was very yummy. At the end of the 4th day, parents were invited to the school to watch what our kids had learnt during their performances.

Angry Birds Meet-n-Greet

I didn't let Giselle know that I was going to bring her to enjoy the meet and greet Angry Birds session at Takashimaya today until we boarded the taxi.

She was so excited! But I told her she must be prepared to queue for an hour.

Well, I am glad she was independent to queue by herself while I saw other parents were queuing for their kids.

Her wish came true and she managed to get a photo taken with the Birds. Haha.

A Trip to Library

Since Giselle's swimming class has been cancelled today, I decided to bring them to the library to spend some time there.

After that, we landed at the nearby playground where they had alot of fun. :)

River Valley Primary School's P1 Orientation

Giselle and me reached the school at about 8.50am today and we are just in time!

The Principal, Mr Danny Poh, stood at the entrance of the school building and greeted everyone of the new P1 students and parents. He seems very friendly and approachable.

After registering and gotten our goodie bag, Giselle and Luke who are in the same class of P1 Confidence, held hands and walked to the assembly hall where their form teacher, Ms Farah took over.

While the kids are in their respective classes having their activities, we Parents had to stay at the hall and listen to some introduction of the schools. After that, we were told to submit the relevant forms and take a queue no. to buy some books and stationery.

Had managed to see some familiar faces of Giselle's friends from Delcare Childcare. But when I asked Giselle about them, she said she couldn't remember any of them. Faintz!

The whole event lasted till 11am.

Jaren's Routine of Sending Giselle to School

Every morning, Jaren has the habit of waiting for the Fairfield's school bus and send his 姐姐 off.

He could recognize the red mini bus very well. Once Giselle has boarded the bus, he would wave bye bye to her.

Today is the last day that Giselle is going to wear her school uniform. She has been wearing her 3 sets during the last 2.75 years with Fairfield. Hence her skirt length has became much shorter than before.

Grand Finale... K2 Graduation @ Fairfield

The concert that Giselle has been practicing for has arrived! My parents went along to grace the ceremony. I felt that they have a big part in Giselle's growth and they should be there to witness their favorite grand daughter wearing the graduation gown.

Jaren went along too and he was having a lot of fun watching the performance and playing around in the audience seats.

A lot of emotions went through my mind when Giselle was singing the gratitude song in Mandarin. It made me realized how much she has growth over the years. All our efforts in nurturing her is really worth it.

Giselle, if you are reading this one day when Mommy isn't around anymore, I want to tell you that I love you very very much and hope you will continue to grow up with good character and achieve the things whatever you do.

The Makeover...

Giselle Won!!!

Since both of them woke up early today, I brought them for MacDonald's breakfast at Tiong Bahru Plaza.

It is a Monopoly game play season at MacDonald's and we have gotten 8 stickers for this lucky draw game. And it came to our surprised that Giselle has won a instant win of a MacDonald's miniature set. She was so happy!!!!

Buffet Town @ Raffles City

Since had received quite a few good comments from my brother and friends about this buffet place at Raffles City, I brought my parents and the kids there to try today.

Well, I must say that the place is really good for it's food, price, environment and service. There is also a kids' play area where they have some fun after their meals.

My parents and I enjoyed the food and we stayed for nearly 3 hours there.

Perth Holiday 31 Aug - 6 Sep 11

The flight reached Perth smoothly at about 11.15pm on 31 Aug. We quickly went out of the Perth Airport to have a feel of the coldness there and boarded the cab immediately after dressing the kids up in warm jackets.

Reached The Vale Bed and Breakfast house at Swan Valley and had a pleasant surprise. As it was late, the owner had left the lights on and a note telling us what to do when we were in the house. The room and living hall was really cosy. A container of bread, croissants, jams and yoghurt was all prepared for the next day breakfast.

The weather was very cold at night and during the day time it was just cooling because of the bright sun. It started to drizzle on our second day there. Our accommodation at Swan Valley gave us the unlimited access to the host's Cuddly Animal Farm. Though it was rather commercialize at the farm, I must say the kids really had farm there. Giselle, especially, everyday kept saying wanted to go to the farm to feed her goats. With the nice weather, big field, nice accommodation, what can we asked for:)

The only shopping place that we liked to go is the Midland Gate Shopping Centre which we can go almost daily when we were at Swan Valley.

After staying 3 nights at Swan Valley, we moved on to Perth City. Nothing much to mention there but The Kings Park is really a nice place to have picnic and laze around.

Overall, the whole trip was tiring for me and Adrian but it was really fun and enjoyable for the 4 of us!

Fun Time @ Changi Terminal 3

The kids having some fun at the Terminal 3 playground before we took off to Perth that night :)
