Further Additions to her Room

Adrian and I went to Ikea last Sat and bought a white Billy Bookshelf to be placed beside her bed. It seems like a perfect match!

I set up the bookshelf on Sun and it's much easier to assemble than her bed. Had used the bookshelf to organise her books and DVDs and puzzles...

Old House - No More :(

Just went to HDB to settle the final appointment for the sales of my Blk 118A Jalan Membina. It has bee officially handed to my buyers today. Nevertheless, we were glad that we found a good family for the house.
Brought Giselle there last night for a last viewing of the house. Filled with alot of emotions and memories as I stepped in, and locked the up the door. It was beautiful house and it brought us alot of happiness like we have got married and have our Giselle when we were staying there. Adrian and I set up this cosy nest in Oct 2001. Took some pixs during our last visit as well (above). Told Giselle to say "bye-bye" and she waved her hand and said "Bye-bye house!".

LOST IN THE LIFT.... nearly.....

It happened yesterday evening when Giselle and her friends were on way towards the lift at Fuji Xero Building to go to the school bus. Giselle and Vivian were having fun playing and running to the lift lobby. I didn't really try to catch up with them as she and vivian loves to run to the lift lobby on 2nd floor and hide themselves at the corner.

This time when I went to the lobby, I only saw Vivian standing in front of a lift door with Giselle nowhere to be seen. I panicked and quickly press the lift button. The lift door opened and Giselle was standing in the lift, crying. She must have got a scare from the whole incident. I scolded her and told her she is not to do this. Adults must go in the lift before her. I really cannot imagine if the lift had gone down without me.

I think Vivian also wanted to go into the lift with her but the lift just closed after Giselle went in. I told the whole incident to Ms Angela and she did question them about happened yesterday evening. Both of them were stunned. Giselle kept quiet but Vivian managed to describe the whole incident to Ms Angela... haha.

Giselle New Room only 70% done...

Finally managed to set aside some time to pack and tidy up her room. Bought a ikea kids bed for her over the last weekend. Adrian had a hard time transporting it back and I've spent 1.5hour assembling it. But the efforts were worth it as she was very happy and excited to see her own bed in her own purple room :)

Giselle's room is not totally completed yet as Ms Angela had kindly agreed to help decorate it together with me over the next 2 months. I have actually hope to make her room into a sweet paradise for her :)

Giselle Progress at 33 months...

Ms Angela just feedback to me today that Giselle ‘’patterning’’, logic and counting skills are very good and I am very glad as I haven’t been spending much time with her lately due to moving of house. Giselle has started to be more sociable than before, greeting everyone with a ‘’Hi’’ when she sees her friends in school. Of course, this will depend whether she is in a good mood or not.

However, her naughty behaviour is also as good as her academic results. Recently she started to push her friends, trying to be the 1st in doing things. Her classmates and her have started a cheeky habit, that is to ‘’chop’’ the toilet bowl (when others are waiting for their turn) for a long time by saying ‘’I want to poo-poo’’ even though it is not true. When the coast is clear, the kid/Giselle will say that he/she don’t want to poo-poo and come down willingly…. Hahaha, I don’t know to laugh or get angry by such mischievous behaviour.

Her Daddy and I are very glad to have Ms Angela around to take good care of her and keep us updated of her development. Such committed teacher is hard to come by nowadays and hope she will be around for long time with Giselle to help us teach and guide her :) It's only with such nice teacher that we are assured to keep Giselle at childcare centre.

The BIG HOUSE MOVE!

Having done our packing to prepare for the shift, today is officially "The Day"!

Wow, Adrian and I were still packing till 1.30am this morning and I woke up at 5.30am to continue the packing and making the trips to and fro new house. Our things are really ALOT and there seems to endless packing for me. Yesterday we were busy transporting the misc items and thank god our new house is just 5 mins away....

This morning, I brought Giselle to my sis-in-law house so that she can help me take care of Giselle while the Movers is doing the loading and unloading... The Movers came at 9am sharp and they started to shrink wrap the electronic items and load the cartons to their lorry without further delay. The lorry came to new house at about 10am. Fortunately we had our parents, maid and my PT maid to come over to help out with the unpacking and co-ordination. My PT maid helped me with the kitchen while my PIL's maid help with the storeroom and clean up.

The movers were quite professional and swift. Our new house were filled with cartons boxes of stuff in no time. Items were set up fast and all things completed with 30mins of unloading and setup.

Giselle was bonding with my SIL at her place and seemed like they enjoyed each other company. She helped me bathe, feed, and play with her. Really thank god for this additional help as we wouldn't have complete the move so swiftly if she were around.

Though it was a very tiring day for all of us with bodyaches every part, but it at least an experience for us. However, we doubt we are going to move again for the next 10 years!!!

Her 2nd Photo Shoot at The Studio Loft

Today I took leave to spend sometime with her and also for a studio shoot. She was quite happy throughout the day. When I told her I am bringing her "to take photos", she asked me "how come we go take photo?" hahaha

Weather was very hot. Reached the studio after we went Waterloo Guanyin Temple. She was quite relunctant to smile initially. But after I found to the trick to make her laugh and smile (that's to say I want to tickle her), the photo session was a breeze...

Phew! She did recover...

Was really glad that she did officially recover on Sun when her fever was gone... Luckily I didn't start the antibiotics on her as actually there is no need for it at all. Too bad that most GP will prescribe this without checking if it was really needed. This led to overused of antibiotics in the world.

She is sick again... Sign...!!!!

Giselle has been running a fever since 17 Mar 08 after I picked her from school. I thought I was over-sensitve when I found that her body was abit warmer than usual. Who knows her fever came officially on the same nite at about 10pm. Her temp then was 38 degree C.

For the next 2 days, I took half day pm leave to take over from my mum who was mobilized to look after her while I was at work. Her running nose started on Tue morning. Then on thu, seeing that her fever has gone and she is active, I brought her to school as she is getting restless. Who noes the fever came back that very nite and I brought her to see a doc then. Keep making her to drink more water. Doc suggested me to standby a antibiotic at home in case she does not recover on the 5th or 6th day. He is afraid that she may get sinus infection in the end.

I tried my best not to give her any antibiotics except for paracetemol which helps to keep her temperature down. In my heart, I am just praying her she has got the normal flu and I should let it run its course over 5 days for the fever to go away and she starts recovering. It has been a difficult period for me as well as I have also gotten the flu from her and I still need to take care of her.

Though she has not been feeling well, we still brought her out for some shopping of furniture at Sungei Kadut yesterday. There's a International Furniture Centre and we managed to confirm our sofa, dining table a rug there.

Today is officially the 6th day, I am still keeping my fingers crossed that her fever does not come back and is on the road to recovering. If today fever still lingers, I may start the antibiotic on her.

To be continued....

My Little Girl turns 32months today....

What a BIG "Baby" she is now. As her speech is getting better, she is much more talkative then before....

She loves ASKING QUESTIONS now! She will goes "Daddy what are you eating?", "Mummy where are you going?", "Why like that???", "what is this?" etc... the questions go on and on....

Sometimes it is very funny to listen to the way she speaks. Today brought her to HDB HUB Toa Payoh to settle the 1st appt of the sales of our current flat. Then at the TP Central, there is some strong macho man contest where muscles strong men were in their swimming trunks showing their biceps.

Then she went home and kept saying that she saw those uncles, never wear T-shirts, wear "panties" only, shame! shame!

Hahaha, she's really very funny at times :)

Adventure at Sim Siang Choon Shop

Went Sim Siang Choon to select bathroom things today… Wow, realized it’s a heaven place for kids… Giselle was happily turning on every taps, pretended to wash with soap at every basin… Then closing and opening toilet bowl covers… later she met another 3.5 year old girl and both of them were happily talking and playing with each other with the taps again….

Then suddenly she told me she wanted to pass urine… She held my hand and brought me to the section of toilet bowls and happily chose 1 with snoopy pictures – she said ‘’I want this’’….

Hahahaha, really bth her

Her New Patterns again....

Ms Angela said Giselle is giving different patterns again. She will fuss for a long time when she doesn't get her own way and refuse to take instructions. At the same time, she loves to follow Vera in her class now... Really don't know what is wrong with her recently... Maybe is another stage of her growing up process. Nevertheless, I do notice that she is more daring now when outside in front of strangers and other children.

See the Big Bump?

She felt down twice on her Daddy's birthday yesterday and her Daddy was so heartpain. I was out in the living hall talking to my mum on the phone when I heard a big loud bang from my room. When I ran in , she was on the floor and she cried very long for this.

I quickly went to grab some icecubes, wrapped with cloth and applied in on her forehead. No swell after that but blue black. I asked her if she jumped down from the bed and she said no. Sign!

Giselle went for another play today with Ms Angela and her friends. The above picture was taken while she was on the bus to the theatre. Her teacher said she was very happy and excited, all set ready to go :)
Heard from Ms Angela that she was quite okay in the room but was abit afraid when the cat's face makeup was a little too strong.

When the casts were talking family heritage like ''father'' and "mother", she started to cry and Amanda and Vivian were affected by her. However, we were proud of her when she offered to do a ''high-5" with the casts when they walkabout :)
This play had more impact on her as she was able to describe lots of things to me... She could tell me that she saw goose, hen, jie-jie and uncle ''made bread'' etc...

The first LIE of her Life... I was so SHOCKED!!!!

It started when she was demanding to play with her strawberry shortcake umbrella which I refused to give in to her until she finished her drink.

She was very unhappy and when she saw her Daddy, she went to him and said the following:
Giselle: Daddy...! You see Mummy!!!! (point her finger at me when I was standing afar)
Daddy: Why???
Giselle: Mummy beat me!
Daddy: Where did mummy beat you? (her daddy knew she was lying)
Giselle: Here! (pointing to a red spot on her wrist)
Daddy: Are you sure Mummy beat you? (Giselle looked downwards)

I was so shocked and angry that I pulled her to me and asked her again if I beat her. She looked guilty, downwards and shook her head and said ''No''. I told her a young kid like her cannot tell lies.....

It just searched asking myself how can a 2.5year old kid tell lies...where on earth did she learn how to tell lies... I am sure her classmates have not started such things.... I told her Ms Angela about this and asked her to observe her further.

GUESS HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU & I LOVE MY LITTLE STORYBOOK

Two enchanting tales told with life-like elegant puppets.

Guess How Much I Love You
Little Nutbrown Hare loves Big Nutbrown Hare as far as he can reach but Big Nutbrown Hare loves Little Nutbrown Hare as high as his strong legs can hop. Follow the rest of their adventures as they hop around and about in this competition to see who could love each other more in “Guess How Much I Love You”.

I Love My Little Storybook
The delightfully enthusiastic and imaginative little rabbit shows his love for his storybook as it suddenly comes to life: a magical journey into the woods, a quick dip into the lake swimming with the frog, dancing with Sleeping Beauty.

Giselle joined her best friends - Vivian & Amanda + other school mates to Victoria Theatre to enjoy the above plays....

Heard from Ms Angela that she was able to hold her urine throughout the whole trip (1.5h to 2 hr) and good job done on her part. Overall she enjoyed the trip and the show although a little fidgety.

I tried to ask her about the show but she couldn't tell me much except for some giants figures that she saw during the show...

Keith 2nd Birthday Party!!!:)

It's Keith 2nd birthday today and Emily has invited all of us to her house to celebrate with them. Time flies so fast and Keith was a baby like just yesterday! Happy Birthday Keith!

I brought Giselle to attend this party and glad that she did enjoy herself there, helping herself with the toys. During the cake cutting ceremony, Keith was happily putting the candles himself and blowing the candles as well... what a smart boy! :)

Giselle was so tired after the party that she slept in Regina's car on the way back. Regina's daughter, Bernice, was so cute and sweet. It's been a really long time since I met her and she has grown up alot too! :)

Giselle new Playground... :)

She loves this new playground below my new block and will always demand to play there whenever we pass by the playground. Weather was very nice today and we decide to let her play for awhile.
Today she was so happy in the new house that she kept singing and doing frog jump all over the house... really very funny... hahaha

Btw, my reno can formally said that it HAS STARTED today. Electrical works was the 1st step:)
