Helius has arrived!!!

2 Aug 2013

I woke up today with a heavy heart. It was the day the I am going to meet Helius for the 1st time! But on the other hand, I need to go through another round of c-section. Urghh!!

I woke up at 4+am n my mum can't over to my Hse to take care Giselle n Jaren.

Reached KKH 24-hr clinic to check in at 6am sharp with Adrian. After admission, we were led to our one bedder ward 8124 by a porter.

I was happy that my surgery will be the 1st n will happen at 8am. We settled down, took some pictures n I was asked to change n walk to the ops theatre at 8am. To my surprise, the ops theatre was no. 4 which doesn't seem to be a auspicious no.

Anyway the staff started to put drip on me. I was asked to lie down on the ops table. Epidural was administered. Then my fear began again. I kept telling myself not to think of anything but just my baby.

Abt 9.05am, Adrian came in n sat beside me. Then Dr June Tan began the "real action". I could literally feel the cutting process though no pain. N within the next 10 mins or so, I was told my baby is out. However, I hear no cries n was worried. Then I realized they need to suck out the water from baby's lungs then he can start crying. Haha.

After he came out, Adrian was asked to go out n I was left suffering on the ops table. Anyway don't think I want to put in details what happened. I kept asking to see my baby n was told he was being cleaned up.

Then finally one of the nurse brought Helius to me n gosh, he's such a beautiful baby. Felt all the sufferings I gone through was worth it!

Grand Finale... K2 Graduation @ Fairfield

The concert that Giselle has been practicing for has arrived! My parents went along to grace the ceremony. I felt that they have a big part in Giselle's growth and they should be there to witness their favorite grand daughter wearing the graduation gown.

Jaren went along too and he was having a lot of fun watching the performance and playing around in the audience seats.

A lot of emotions went through my mind when Giselle was singing the gratitude song in Mandarin. It made me realized how much she has growth over the years. All our efforts in nurturing her is really worth it.

Giselle, if you are reading this one day when Mommy isn't around anymore, I want to tell you that I love you very very much and hope you will continue to grow up with good character and achieve the things whatever you do.

It was a fantastic muscial show arranged by Centrepoint Shopping Centre. Brought Giselle there to queue at 12pm when the show only started at 1pm. Well, the effort was really worth it... Giselle and I enjoyed the show so much... :) She couldn't stop talking about the show after it... haha! :)

Fun Day @ Jurong Safra....

Since it is Giselle off-day from school today, her Daddy suggested that we bring our baobei to Jurong Safra to try the 5-storey-high indoor kids playground called "Kidz Amaze". More info is found at:

We paid $9 for her and another $2.15 for her daddy to accompany her in. This rate is for safra members. If you are a kidz Amaze member, you will pay even lower price. Heard that they have a 1 for 1 kid promo till 20 Nov 09.

However, when we reached there at about 11.30am, we realised that the opening hours on weekdays are from 1pm. Hence we headed to the swimming pool instead...

Initially when her Daddy was clearing some of his office emails at Hans Cafe, I brought Giselle to sit beside the pool watching the children play. However, she got impatient and kept asking when she can go into the pool. Hence, no choice, I have to change her to her swimming costume and let her dip inside on her own with her board float. She had a fun time at the children's pool swimming round and round...

After satisfying her hunger for swimming pool, we brought her for lunch at the Ishi Mura Japanese food court. She loved the mushroom soup and the toasted bread which was quite a steal at $1.40 after safra discount.

We reached the Kidz Amaze at about 2.45pm where she and her Daddy spent about an hour and a half in it. For me, I was taking the lift up and down, trying to take pictures of her.

Then there was moment her Daddy lost Giselle while in the maze. It happened when her Daddy told Giselle to meet him below while he took the tube slide down. However, he didn't realise our timid gal didn't know how to climb down.

That moment, I knew Giselle would be crying for us. Luckily, we saw 2 jie-jie guided her and brought her down to us. Her face was covered with tears when we saw her....

After a tea-break at Hans Cafe, Giselle suggested to go up to the Kidz Amaze again. Her Daddy said he cannot make it anymore. Hence, I told Giselle that I can bring her there but she has to go in alone.

Giselle did went in alone but she only stayed at the 1st level, enjoying the moment of picking up the foam balls into bags...

We left Safra at about 5pm.... Exhausted!

Fairfield School Concert 2009

It was the full dress rehearsal for Giselle's school graduation concert this morning and she was supposed to dress in vietnamese costume.

She performed a dance and a Gingerbread poem recite which she has been practising in school since a month+ ago.
Her por-por and gong-gong went over to support her too. We were very happy that she done really well this time. We could see her smiling and dancing relaxingly on stage :)

A Fun Outing at West Coast Park

Today is off day for Giselle and her Daddy after the Deepavali Public Holiday during last Saturday. Hence, we decided to bring Giselle to outdoor to try her new blades.

Her Daddy bladed with her round the Park while I sat at McCafe to "jagar" belongings :(

Gong-Gong's Birthday today!:)

It was quite a last minutes celebration for her gong-gong because mummy only remembered it the night before ;p

Nevertheless, managed to buy a nice Mango cake from Four Leaves Bakery and bring it to Redhill during evening time.
Giselle sang and clapped for her gong-gong and he was very happy :) However, Giselle blew the candle as though it was her birthday... hahaha...

Having fun at the Outdoor Space of Central Library

Since is Labour Day today, we brought Giselle to Bras Basah Complex to get some books. Thereafter, we went to Peck Siah Street for Hainanese Pork Chop Lunch and then coffee at Hanis @ Central Library. She loves the pork chop and kept asking for more rice to go with it...

Giselle had alot of fun running about the big open space... Actually sad to say it has been a long time since we had the chance to bring her out without any enrichment classes on the same day.

From the video above, she was actually counting the coloured flags hung on the ceiling :)

Further Updates on her Swimming Progress

Giselle has been showing improvement each week as she attends the class. This week, she was able to submerge her head into the water for quite sometime without any fear.

Though it maybe nothing great, but to me, it is a great leap from a little gal who has no confidence in water to some kid whom is not afraid of the water now.

I am so proud of my little princess ! :)
