Fairfield School Concert 2009

It was the full dress rehearsal for Giselle's school graduation concert this morning and she was supposed to dress in vietnamese costume.

She performed a dance and a Gingerbread poem recite which she has been practising in school since a month+ ago.
Her por-por and gong-gong went over to support her too. We were very happy that she done really well this time. We could see her smiling and dancing relaxingly on stage :)

The sun was really scotching hot today...

A Fun Outing at West Coast Park

Her Daddy bladed with her round the Park while I sat at McCafe to "jagar" belongings :(

It is K2 Blades for Giselle now...

Giselle's Daddy want to get crash guard for himself and so we headed to Skateline mainshop at Paya Lebar...

The shop was big and comfortable unlike the skate shops at East Coast park. Giselle and her Daddy managed to to take their time to try the blades out with the patience and friendly service by a young guy.

The service staff recommended the K2 blades for Giselle and she seems to like it very much. This time round her Daddy decides to upgrade her to a K2 4-wheel blades as she seems ready for it, given her performance for the last 3 months... However, the pair cost a wopping $199!!!. According to her Daddy and the sales staff, K2 is one of the best brand for blades and for kids. With don't-know-what smoother movement etc... Or maybe the blades can make one fly... haha.

After trying on the blades, Giselle bladed happily around in the shop smoothly and the service staff was very surprised that she could blade so well at her age... I said most probably kids can pick up skills faster than adults...
Her Daddy also started trying new pairs of blades at the shop. The sales staff patiently explained the difference between each blades and types of wheels. He nearly wanted to buy a pair that cost $400+... luckily he changed his mind last minute as I told him the new pair didn't look macho on him... haha ;p

We left the shop at about 3.30pm and headed to Joo Chiat to eat the Fei Fei wanton mee. After a shop break, we went to the dim sum shop at Big Splash for some desserts...

Giselle was so excited about her new blades that she immediately wanted to try them on upon reach home...

A very Short Trip to Sentosa

Her Daddy wanted to get some beach wear and so he suggested to go to the beach wear shop (Island Shop) near to Koufu food court at Palawan Beach. The shop has reasonable priced beach wears for kids and adults.
Since we have the Sentosa membership, we only paid for our car to go into Sentosa. After shopping, we went to food court for lunch and Giselle met her Fairfield classmate - Owen. The gal in the center of the picture is Owen's elder sister. Owen and Giselle had some fun playing with ball.
After taking lunch, we headed straight home as the weather was too hot to stay longer. Giselle kept pestering us that she wanted to go to the water play area but we simply refused...

Her Infant Car Seat

Giselle used this infant car seat when she was baby and I lend it to my friend as she has outgrown it. My friend just returned this infant car seat to me tonight as I need to pass it to another friend.
My dear Giselle was having lots of fun with this infant car seat. She sat in it, rock it and sang songs with actions happily in it... Hmm, seems like she can still use the infant car seat even though she is the double size of it... hahaha...

Detailed Scan on Week 18

Everything seems alright... Just that placenta is abit on the low side...

It's just amazing how baby has grown over the period....

Gong-Gong's Birthday today!:)

It was quite a last minutes celebration for her gong-gong because mummy only remembered it the night before ;p

Nevertheless, managed to buy a nice Mango cake from Four Leaves Bakery and bring it to Redhill during evening time.
Giselle sang and clapped for her gong-gong and he was very happy :) However, Giselle blew the candle as though it was her birthday... hahaha...

Children's Day Party at RC & Mid Autumn Festival

Brought her to attend a children's Day party organised by the RC in my area. Each ticket cost $2 and the kids get to play games, received goodie bag and a MacDonald's Happy meal.
Giselle was rather excited to attend the party. She joined the games and quiz with the others though they were too difficult for her age. She was in Team A, wearing the pink sunshield hat. After the games, the kids were led to collect their Happy Meal and goodie bag. You could see her happy and satisfying look from the photo after she has received the items :)
When she is at home now, she would wear the pink hat and tell me "Team A". So funny! :)
Later that night, her Daddy brought her to the playground below my block to play lanterns and candles with other kids till 11.15pm. Luckily Giselle has her Daddy to bring her around for fun as eversince I got pregnant, my energy level is really low.

Children's Day Celebration at Fairfield School

Her school organised a party for all the students who dressed in party clothes for the event. They have a talent contest whereby the kids would perform in their costumes and songs.
I could see Giselle enjoyed the songs and dances throughout and hence I left her there while I headed to the market to eat my breakfast at Tanjong Pagar Mkt :)

Wedding Dinner at Pan Pacific Hotel

Today is a special day for weddings due to the date 20-09-2009!

Brought Giselle to attend a wedding celebration at Pan Pacific together with my parents, brother and sister-in-law.

The food and service were great but I find the ballroom lack of romantic ambience. Nevertheless, Giselle enjoyed herself very much, running about, watching the whole "show"... She loves doing the "Yum Seng" (toasting) and watching the wedding video as shown on the screen.

Beside these, she also loves snapping photos for others and surprising, the pictures turn out to be quite alright :)

Some Snapshots of Giselle at Home...

Kids Photography Workshop with Hart, Tomato Photo

I have always wanted to learn more about taking kids photos with DSLR and today's workshop was really a great experience for me.

Hart taught us how to use natural lightings, reflector and Photoshop software (for editing) to take pictures of our kids. He shared with us what kind of style he likes to use and why. Before every assignment, he would imagine and organise his thoughts how he would like the pictures of the family/kid turn out to be and he said that's very important.

I attended this workshop with Stephanie and Kelly. Luckily Stephanie brought his son, Max to be our model to practise what we had learnt that day. Max had lots of fun and we too!:)

Currently week 13 of my Pregnancy...

Ever visit to the gynae rooms will give me fear... Fear that baby not doing well inside etc...

Well, brown discharge was on and off for a month.... but Dr Loh gave me progesterone tablets to support my pregnancy. He said as long as it is not red in colour, things should be fine. He also said it could be old blood that is coming out from my uterus.

Today Dr Loh also managed to see the gender of my baby. It was just as what Giselle knew, she always wanted a baby brother and she has got what she wanted :)
For me gender doesn't matter as long as my baby is healthy.... :)

A Holiday Outing @ Iluma Shopping Centre

Since I have check up at KKH today, I brought her to iluma shopping centre at Bugis for Shabu Shabu lunch with my mum.

After that, my mum treated her to a cup of strawberry yoghurt outside the restaurant. She was happily running about and I brought her to the kids zone (arcarde) area for walk after taking pixs with all the various posters found at the cinema storey.

Down Syndrome Scan for Didi on Week 9

Did a DS scan today for baby and also a blood test. Both results came out that we are in the safe zone. But the results is still 90% of accuracy only....

Just have to continue to pray hard :)

She is getting cheeky again...

Today is her grandma (her daddy's mum) birthday. The whole family including relatives celebrated this occasion at one of the RC's at clementi where we had catering buffet and karaoke session.
My dear Giselle enjoyed herself so much (not singing) that she was running in and out of the RC centre... until to a stage that we couldn't find her. Then we realised that she was happily playing with her cousins outside.... Phew!!!

An Outing at Sentosa

Was thinking is a holiday today and so we went to Sentosa in morning with Lincoln's family. The kids had alot of fun at the seaside playing with sand :)

It was a rather hot day and all I want was to lie down on the mat and rest... hehe :)
